Recently, a video of His Royal Highness, Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Sultan Iskandar was seen returning to his palace at Istana Bukit Serene in a 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Scat pack accompanied by his motorcade and a Chevrolet Tahoe.

All eyes are set on H.R.H Sultan of Johor as he is to be sworn in as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong this coming 31st of January.
He is set to succeed the current Agong, His Royal Highness Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah from the Pahang Royal Family.
With that said, it is well known that H.R.H Sultan of Johor and his son, Tunku Ismail Idris, have a penchant for American and European supercars. Here are the five cars from His Majesty’s collection that stand out to us. Which one is your favorite?
Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06
The American-made Corvette Z06 is one of the latest additions to H.R.H Sultan of Johor’s collection. This new mid-engine sports car from Chevrolet bears the eighth generation of the iconic Corvette line.
The C8 is also the first in its line to bear a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, a first for its generation.
Behind the driver’s seat of the Z06 Corvette packs a 6.2L naturally aspirated V8 engine mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
On paper, the C8 cranks out 502 PS and 369 Nm. The Corvette nails the century sprint in 7.10 seconds, plenty of power to cruise on our highways.

Genesis G90 Limousine
Don’t fret if you aren’t familiar with the name Genesis. It’s a luxury division of the Hyundai Motor Company launched back in 2015.
H.R.H Sultan of Johor has been photographed multiple times exiting a Genesis G90 Limousine for official events.
The Genesis G90 Limousine known as the EQ900L variant is the longer wheelbase variant officially used by the Johor Royal Family.
Underneath the hood lies a 5.0L V8 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All EQ900L models are all-wheel drive and imported from South Korea.

Bugatti Veyron
Another European supercar owned by H.R.H Sultan of Johor is his famous white-on-neon blue Bugatti Veyron.
The Bugatti needs no introduction. This French Marque is the poster car of every racing game and blockbuster Hollywood movie.
On top of that, the Bugatti Veyron holds the record for being one of the fastest road-legal production cars clocking in at 407 mph.
Under the hood lies a quad-turbocharged W16 engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sending 1,001 PS and 736 Nm to all four wheels.
As of this writing, there are probably less than five Bugatti Veyrons in Malaysia. It’s no surprise as the car costs 2,500,000 USD (RM1,184,125,000) at MSRP and we haven’t even got to the maintenance costs yet.
Mack Super-Liner Sleeper
Aside from fast cars and luxurious limos, H.R.H Sultan of Johor also has a few oddballs in his collection.
H.R.H Sultan of Johor currently owns a custom big rig Mack Super-Liner Sleeper truck made in Australia. As of this point of writing it is currently the most expensive Mack truck with a RM1.5 million price tag.
The rig has plenty of fancy goodies including a six-camera CCTV system, two flat-screen TVs, a stovetop kitchen area, a double-decker bed, a barbecue pit, and seats stitched with 72,000 stitches of gold threads and a solid-gold tiger hood ornament.
Being a heavy-duty hauler, the Mack Super-Liner comes with a massive displacement of 16.1L six-cylinder diesel engine cranking out 685 horsepower and 3,150 Nm of torque.
Morgan Three Wheeler
At first glance, the Morgan Three Wheeler bears semblance to the body of a WW2 fighter plane with three motorcycle tires welded to it. This motorized tricycle is powered by a two-stroke motorcycle engine and has a five-speed manual gearbox sourced from Mazda.
A one-off custom-built unit was ordered for H.R.H Sultan of Johor and was seen used for his state tour in 2017.

Honorable Mention: Flintstone Car
This part comes as a surprise from a family of great taste in cars. If anyone here is old enough to remember, the Flintstones is a children’s cartoon set in a fictionalized Stone Age. One of their iconic family cars, if you can call that a car, is a makeshift cart powered by…their legs.
A replica of the Flintmobile was given to H.R.H Sultan of Johor as a gift by the Pahang Royal Family due to his love for the classic sitcom.
However, this replica has a modern touch with a motor installed eliminating the need to use a more leg-intensive form of driving it.
