No, all cars are free from financing.

Simply find your preferred car(s) on our website, click on 'Book A Test Drive' and select your date and time. Our system will show 'Booking Successful!' once your booking is confirmed.

You may choose your preferred time from four (4) available slots:

• 9am - 11am
• 11am - 1pm
• 1pm - 3pm
• 3pm - 5pm

Yes, you can do it via "My Account-My Test Drive" on our website, or reach out to us at 1-800-82-3388 / info@carsome.my. You may book another test drive appointment once the cancellation is confirmed.

You need to place a refundable deposit, which is 1% of the purchase price, either by cash, online transfer or credit card. Once the booking is confirmed, the car will be under a "Pending Purchase" status and will not receive further test drives or bookings from other customers. There will be a handling fee added to the total payment. Our Handling fee will cover Roadtax, Puspakom inspection and Ownership Transfers. The fee will range from RM400 - RM800 (including SST), depending on your engine transmission capacity.

All payments shall be made to and in the name of CARSOME Certified Sdn Bhd ONLY. CARSOME only recognizes payment made to its official accounts.

Yes. We will initiate a refund process for you in 14 working days* from the date of complete documents submission. Please note that the refund timeline is also subject to the standard operating procedures of your selected bank.

The documents required are:

1. Customer's IC (front & back)
2. Bank statement header
3. Duly signed cancellation form

If your booking was done online, only documents 1 & 3 are required.

An SMS notification will be sent to you when the refund is credited to your selected bank.

At CARSOME we offer you a hassle-free experience. The price you see is the price that you will pay for the car, with a handling fee added to the total payment. Our Handling fee will cover Roadtax, Puspakom inspection and Ownership Transfers.

Our CARSOME Consultants will assist you on loan submission through our panel of financial providers.

Yes, you may apply through your preferred financial institution.

The documents required are your:

1. Identity Card (for Malaysians) or Passport (for non-Malaysians)
2. Driving licence
3. Payslip for the last three months
4. Bank statement of salary account for the last three months
5. EPF statement
6. Any other income supporting documents

For self-employed individuals, the required documents include a BE/B form and a 6-month bank statement.

For individuals who work on a commission or incentive basis, the necessary documentation are 6 months' worth of commission or incentive slips.

The monthly installment is an estimation calculated based on a 9-year tenure and 3.5% interest rate per annum. Your actual loan tenure and interest rate are subject to the terms and conditions from your respective financial institution.

No, the cars with "New Car" tag will not be eligible for 1-year warranty and 5-day money-back guarantee. You will need to refer to the manufacturer for any faults and warranty claims. Do reach out to our CARSOME Consultants to find out more.

You can choose ‘Self-Collection’ and collect your car from your CARSOME Experience Centers, or select 'Home Delivery', where we will deliver your car for free to an address within Peninsular Malaysia.

Yes. Our CARSOME Consultants will guide you through the trade-in process with CARSOME. All customers that have traded in their cars will receive RM1,000 off (if car price is below RM50,000) and RM1,500 off (if car price is more than RM50,000) for your CARSOME car purchase. Please refer to this page for more information about our trade-in program.

CARSOME Experience Centers are open on Mondays to Sundays. Please refer to this page to find the operating hours for each center.

All CARSOME Value cars (excluding commercially registered vehicles) come with a conditional 5-Day Money-Back Guarantee. The money-back guarantee is subject to our CARSOME Value Return Policy if the vehicle was found to have flood, fire or major accident damage.

CARSOME has an extensive list of cars which are updated daily and available for online viewing at any time of the day. You can browse for a car of your choice and pay the booking fee for it, all from the comfort of your home! It is now faster, more convenient and safer for you to buy a car. If you wish to make an offline booking instead, you can find a CARSOME Experience Center near you on this page.

The booking fee is 1% of the car purchase price with no hidden fees or extra charges. Should there be an event where your car booking is cancelled, the fee is refundable* to you.

Here's how you can book a CARSOME car online:

Step 1: On the product page of the car of your choice, click on the button "Book This Car".

Step 2: You will be directed to a page with your booking details. Check that the details are correct, then click on the "Pay" button.

Step 3: Select your preferred payment method and confirm your payment. Please complete the payment within 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes, the car will be released for other customers to browse and book.

Please note that any bookings made will be subject to our Booking Terms & Conditions.

There are two (2) ways to check if your booking order has been confirmed.

1. An icon with "Payment successful. Your car has been booked!" will appear in the Order Received page once your order has been confirmed;
2. In your 'My Order' page, you will see a "Paid" status as confirmation for your order.

We accept the following payment methods:

1. FPX Online Banking
2. Credit Card

In the event that your payment is successful but the car you wanted is already booked, we will initiate a refund process for you. You will receive an SMS notification when the refund is credited to your selected bank.

Please note that your refund will be processed within 14 working days* from the date of complete documents submission and is subject to the standard operating procedures of your selected bank.

There are three (3) possibilities why your order was cancelled:

1. The payment window has timed out;
2. You have accidentally cancelled it manually;
3. Your documents have expired upon the date of submission

1. For a test drive. You may choose to visit our Experience Center for the test drive or have the car delivered to your home for a test drive.
2. To collect your car loan application documents. Please prepare your documents within three (3) days after our CARSOME Consultant has contacted you to avoid cancellation on your booking.

CARSOME offers TWO warranty plans for all customers across Malaysia. 

1) Gold Plan* 
Comes free with every CARSOME Certified car purchase and covers the following components: 

- Engine 
- Manual & Auto Transmission 
- Air-Conditioning System 

*If the car's principal warranty is still intact, please consult the original manufacturer of that car for full coverage details. 

2) Platinum Plan 
This is an optional add-on purchase for more protection and covers the following components: 

- Engine

- Steering System

The Platinum Warranty Plan is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend considering it for additional protection against unexpected expenses. Many of our customers have chosen this plan for that very reason.

Our warranty plans are eligible to privately registered vehicles only. Commercially registered vehicles are excluded from the coverage. Commercially registered vehicles include:

1. Vehicles used for commercial passenger transport and commercial goods transport
2. Taxis, E-hailing vehicles, Rental cars and Driving school vehicles

To make a warranty claim, you can call CARSOME directly at 1800-82-3388 from 8am - 7pm, daily. 

Step 1: Contact CARSOME 
If you come across an issue with your car, just give CARSOME a call at 1800-82-3388. Our friendly customer service team will check if it's a covered component and guide you through the claim process, including what documents you'll need and where to find the nearest Authorized CARSOME Service Center. 

Step 2: Take your car to an Authorized CARSOME Service Center 
At the Authorized CARSOME Service Center, a preliminary inspection will be conducted and you will receive a repair quotation. To make a claim, you will need to submit the following documents:

(a) Repair Quotation (provided by Authorized Service Center); 
(b) Warranty Booklet (provided by CARSOME); 
(c) Copy of your NRIC & driving license; and 
(d) Vehicle’s registration card / details. 

Step 3: Relax and wait for your car to be fixed 
CARSOME will contact you within 48 hours after inspecting your vehicle to let you know if your claim is approved. 

Step 4: Collect your car 
Once your car repairs are finished, we'll take care of the payment and let you know it's ready for pick-up.

Our warranty coverage for both Gold and Platinum plans are valid for up to 2 years* from the date of issuance.

Yes, the coverage will be void and claims will not be accepted if the car has been modified from the manufacturer’s original specifications. Please see the warranty booklet for the full terms under General Conditions.

If your CARSOME Certified car has a 12-month coverage from the original manufacturer's warranty:

Your vehicle will be covered under the manufacturer warranty, subject to the terms stipulated by the manufacturer. Please refer to the manufacturer warranty booklet or manufacturer’s website for more details as coverage for each component may differ between car models or may be limited to a certain number of years.

If your CARSOME Certified car has between 6 to 12 months coverage from the original manufacturer's warranty:

CARSOME warranty will be offered after the expiry of the manufacturer warranty, subject to our eligibility criteria. To activate it, you'll have to make a request 30 days (claim period) prior to the expiration of your original manufacturer's warranty at your nearest CARSOME Experience Center and your vehicle’s total mileage must not exceed 160,000km during the request. If the request is made after the 30-day claim period, this offer will no longer be available.

Yes, your coverage does not include components where everyday wear and tear is expected. Please see the full list of exclusions in the warranty booklet provided to you during your purchase OR you can call us at 1800-82-3388 for comprehensive details on your coverage. 

Coming soon cars on the website will be ready within 14 days. In the event of a delay, we will inform you beforehand via call or email.

The pictures of the car are not available yet because the car is undergoing a reconditioning process. Pictures will be available after the CARSOME Certified refurbishment process is completed, which is within approximately 14 days.

The inspection report is not available as the car is still undergoing the inspection and refurbishment process. Rest assured that all CARSOME Certified cars listed are quality cars backed by 175-point inspection, delivering safety beyond standard, comfort, and aesthetics, on top of being free from major accidents and free from flood damage.

The CARSOME Certified Refurbishment Process ensures all cars that have passed the 175-point inspection are refurbished to perform at their peak.

If the car quality is not up to expectations, we will return the car to the CARSOME Certified Lab for further refurbishment work.

Customers will be notified after the refurbishment process has been completed. This would take approximately 14 days.

When someone books the same car after it is ready, you can leave your contact information on our website and we will reach out to you.

All information about the car will be displayed on the website and app after the refurbishment process has been completed, approximately in 14 days.

Once you have registered your interest, we will contact you for viewing and/or a test drive. If you have made your decision, you may also book the car once it is ready.

There are situations where customers are unable to find the right car in our current inventory as every pre-owned car is unique based on its condition.

Registering your interest in a coming soon car allows us to efficiently prepare the car for your preferred CARSOME Experience Center so that you can view or test drive the car as soon as possible. You will also be updated with the latest status of the car once it is ready for viewing or a test drive.

Here’s how you can buy a car from CARSOME as an expat in Malaysia:

Currently, we only accept cars that are registered in Malaysia (including Sabah & Sarawak) that meet CARSOME's criteria. 
We do not accept cars registered in Labuan, Langkawi and outside of Malaysia. 

We also do not accept cars that are damaged by major accident or flood, beyond economical repair, those with a tampered Mileage/Chassis/Engine number, or gearbox changed from Automatic transmission to Manual transmission (or vice versa). Should your car have had an engine (cc) or gearbox changed, this is acceptable as long as it is from the same manufacturer's model with the same specifications. No modifications will be accepted.

However, we do accept special cars of the following criteria: 

Cars owned by non-Malaysian citizens: 
We do buy cars owned by non-Malaysian citizens. However, the process differs from CARSOME’s standard procedures. Non-Malaysian car owners have to go through the following processes: 
1. Clear any outstanding bank loans and provide a Puspakom B5 report (transfer of ownership inspection process at Puspakom). 
2. Send the car to CARSOME for inspection to finalize the transaction (accept CARSOME’s on-the-spot offer or opt for online bidding). 
3. Perform the ownership transfer in person with CARSOME’s inspector at JPJ’s (the Road and Transport Department of Malaysia) center, where the car owner’s thumbprint will be recorded. 
4. Wait for CARSOME to issue payment. 

Cars registered under Police or Army ID: 
The process for selling cars registered under Police or Army ID follows our standard procedures. Car owners with vehicles registered under Police or Army ID are required to update their IDs to the standard 12-digit NRIC number before proceeding.

*Performance cars can only be sold through online bidding at any CARSOME Inspection Center nationwide.

Electric Vehicles (EV) 
To sell an EV, please take note of the following: 
- The EV needs to have an active warranty (at least 6 months before expiry) 
- The EV inspection process is only available at CARSOME PJ Automall Inspection Center 
- The EV can only be sold to CARSOME via online bidding - You will be required to meet the successful bidder for a car viewing session at CARSOME PJ Automall before the transaction happens 
- You will be required to provide the mobile charger that comes with the car during the car handover. Should the charger is not provided, RM3,000 will be deducted from the offer price

To sell performance and EV cars, please take note that we require the following: 

- A valid warranty (manufacturer warranty or extended warranty with a minimum of 6 months validity); 
- Insurance; and 
- Puspakom B5 report (transfer of ownership inspection process at Puspakom). 

Others 
We purchase vans, performance cars, and all reconditioned cars with company or individual approved permits (AP).

On behalf of friends and family 
Unfortunately, you cannot. However, you can bring the car on the owner’s behalf for inspection at our inspection centers; after the inspection, we require the car owner to be present for ownership transfer as the owner’s thumbprint is required. 

On behalf of a company 
Yes you can. You'll need to bring along the following: 

• A form of photo identification for the person delivering and transacting the car.
• A letter signed by the company’s director providing authorization for you to sell on the company’s behalf. 
• Company account details (e.g. company bank statement). 
• One form of identification on the company’s business address.
• Both sets of car keys (if available).
• Complete car service history (if available).

Further documentation may be required depending on the situation, so it is advisable to contact us at info@carsome.my if you are selling a company registered car. A separate team will handle your case and the car inspection will be done at your company’s premises instead. 

Please note that fees and charges may apply if you are selling a company registered vehicle. 
 

Step 1: Make an Appointment 

It takes less than 2 minutes to submit your car and contact details on Carsome.my or call our hotline at 1800-82-3388. Our Customer Service team will call you to confirm your details and inspection date and time. Make an appointment here . Reminder: We can only reserve appointments for a duration of 15 minutes. We recommend arriving promptly to minimize potential delays or the need for rescheduling inspections.

Step 2: Attend the Inspection Attend the appointment with the original documents and items listed below: 

- Registration Card (RC)/Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC) 
- NRIC (or passport for non-Malaysians) 
- Spare keys (if available) 
- AP forms (Form 1 and Form 69) are highly encouraged for cars labelled as 'kenderaan import terpakai' (imported used vehicles)
- Hire Purchase Settlement (for cars with outstanding loan amount) 
- Purchase Invoice (for cars purchased by cash) 
- Third party authorization letter (for cars under a different name) 

Step 3: Accept the Offer or Choose Online Bidding 

We will quote you a selling price, which you may accept on the spot or choose to put your car up for online bidding. 

• Sell to CARSOME directly 
  Once you accept the offer, you will be given a maximum of 5 days to hand over your car and the necessary documents to us. If you agree to hand over your car on the day of the inspection, we can commence the ownership transfer and payment process right away if all the necessary documents are present.
• Put your car up for online bidding 
  We will schedule your car for bidding at the earliest available slot, where it will be bid by 2,300+ verified used car dealers. If your car receives bids, you have to reply with acceptance by 3pm on the next day of bidding date or reject the bid offer. If you accept, you will be given 5 days to prepare all the necessary documents and hand over the car to us.
  
  If your car does not receive any bids, you will be allowed to put up on the bidding platform 2 more times. Then, you can choose to accept the price offered by CARSOME (if applicable). Bear in mind that each subsequent starting bid price will be lower than the previous bid.
  
  Currently, CARSOME has 4 bidding sessions on Mondays to Saturdays (10am-11.30am, 1pm-2.30pm, 4pm-5.30pm and 9pm-10.30pm); and 2 bidding sessions on Sundays (1pm-2.30pm and 4pm-5.30pm). 

Step 4: Transfer of Ownership, Vehicle Handover, and Payment 
All paperwork for ownership transfer will be handled by us on the agreed date of the vehicle handover. The remaining loan settlement with the bank and final payment will be made directly to the owner’s bank account via online transfer.

The inspection appointment takes approximately 1 hour*. A CARSOME-certified auto inspector will conduct a thorough 175-point inspection of your car, which includes on-board diagnostics (OBD) scanning and a short road test. The road test helps us determine the realistic value of your car. Photos will also be taken for record and reporting purposes.

We will offer you a price to buy your car on the spot. If you agree to accept the offer and sell to us, we will complete all the necessary paperwork for you, and pay you via online transfer without delay. 

If you decide to try online bidding, we will schedule your car for a 2-hour online bidding among our verified used car dealer network. We will set the starting bid price by taking various factors into consideration such as the car's condition, age, and mileage before the bidding process starts.

You will receive an email or SMS to view the live bidding session for your car. Here are the steps:

1. Click on the link sent to you and enter your email as the username.

2. Proceed to set up your own password (It requires at least 8 characters, with at least 1 capital letter, 1 numeric, and 1 symbol).

3. Log in to view the bid.

You have 2 options:

1. Accept our initial offer within 3 days of the inspection date.

2. If your car did not receive any bids from the first session, it will be automatically scheduled for the next available bidding session, usually on the same day or the following day. Should you go again for the bidding process, the subsequent starting bid price will be lower than the previous starting bid price. Should there be no bids after the second attempt and you still want to proceed with a sale, we recommend contacting your inspector-in-charge. Please note that our offered price may differ depending on the situation*.

*A new offer price may be provided upon a customer’s request should there be no bids after the first or second attempt. The new offer price will differ from the original offer price prior to bidding.

You need to release your car to us within 5 days from the day you accept our offer or the bid price. 

CARSOME will contact you to arrange for the following:

• Provide thumbprint
• Provide purchase invoice (for cars purchased by cash)

All paperwork for ownership transfer will be handled by CARSOME on the agreed date of the vehicle handover. The remaining loan settlement with the bank and final payment will be made directly to the car owner’s bank account via online transfer.

We require the following documents and items for ownership transfer:

•  NRIC (or passport for non-Malaysians)
• Original vehicle Registration Card (RC) / Original Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC)
• Spare keys (if any)
• Outstanding hire purchase loan statement (if any)

If we do not receive your vehicle RC/VOC, we will withhold RM2,000 from the selling price as collateral. You must produce the RC/VOC within 14 days from the ownership transfer date or the RM2,000 will be forfeited.

1. Inform the e-hailing company that you are selling the car. The e-hailing company will inform the APAD (Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat), who will cancel the E-Hailing Vehicle Permit.

2. Go to Puspakom to run the B2 and B5 Inspection and complete the ownership transfer & 'Tukar Kelas'.

3. Do a manual thumbprint verification at the nearest JPJ center.

4. After steps 1-3 are complete, make an appointment at CARSOME.my or call our hotline at 1800-82-3388.

Note: you will be responsible for any fees/charges under steps 1-3.

If your road tax has expired for more than 1 year, you have to renew it, or we are not able to proceed with the inspection. Also, for reasons of the law, you should not drive on the road if your vehicle does not have a valid road tax.

If you attend the inspection process without the car grant, you must send a photocopy to the inspector-in-charge after the inspection to proceed with bidding/transaction.

CARSOME may offer your vehicle to the second-highest bidder if the highest bidder rejects the bid due to unforeseen circumstances. For cars with a final bid price of RM100,000 and higher, a transaction will only be considered successful upon receipt of a 30% deposit paid by the successful bidder. In the event that the bidder fails to fulfill payment requirements, CARSOME reserves the final rights to the purchase of the vehicle.

You are allowed to surrender your vehicle and car grant at any CARSOME location in Malaysia and do the ownership transfer* at a different CARSOME location. Make sure that your inspector is aware of the situation and transferring location. Do note that CARSOME will be withholding RM2,000 from the payment if the car and car grant are not surrendered prior to the ownership transfer.

*Ownership transfer must be performed by the car owner.

Once your hire purchase financing has been settled in full, contact your bank to request for E-Batal.

Privately registered cars
When you accept CARSOME's direct buyout offer, there will be a small administrative fee incurred depending on your car's appraised value. Cars appraised below RM10,000 will incur a transaction fee of RM300. For cars appraised between RM10,000 and RM49,999, the transaction fee will be RM500. Cars appraised at RM50,000 and above will have a transaction fee of RM700. The inspection process is free of charge.

The fees stated above are subject to 8% SST, effective from 1 August 2024 onwards.

When you put your vehicle up for bidding
No fees will be charged for vehicles that are listed on our nationwide bidding platform.

Here’s how you can sell a car to CARSOME as an expat in Malaysia:

Step 1: Visit carsome.my/sell-car to check your estimated car value and book a free inspection at any CARSOME Inspection Center.

Step 2: Bring your passport, original vehicle registration card and car keys (including the spare key if available) and attend a 30 - 45 minute inspection. 

Step 3: After the inspection, we’ll make you an offer either via direct buy-out or bidding. 

Step 4: If you accept the offer, you’ll need to get your car inspected at Puspakom for a B5/B2 report *(whichever is applicable)

Step 5: Once you have the B5/B2 report, our team will arrange to meet you at JPJ for a manual ownership transfer. Please bring the car and these documents:

Account Cancelation Policy

• There are no pending test drives and inspection appointments. Please complete your appointment or request cancellation before deleting your account.
• All bookings, orders, payments, and ongoing transactions must be completed. Your account should not have pending purchases before deletion.
• All vouchers issued will be invalid after deleting your account.
• After successfully deleting your account, you will not be able to sign in or use CARSOME services.
• Your data associated with CARSOME services will be deleted.
• There are no cars in bidding or scheduled for bidding.
• By proceeding, you agree to have read and accepted the terms and conditions.

How to delete your CARSOME account?
