Malaysians will see a significant drop in fuel prices for one week from Saturday, March 7, 2020. The price for RON-95 is 19 sen cheaper at RM1.89 per liter, while RON-97 is 21 sen cheaper at RM2.19 per liter. Euro2M diesel is also down 17 sen to RM1.96 per liter, as announced by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The calculations are based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) which was reintroduced on January 5, 2019. Under the system, a weekly fuel price will be announced on Friday and put in force the next day.
Prices for petrol and diesel from February 29 to March 6, 2020, were priced at RM2.08 for RON-95, RM2.40 for RON-97 and RM2.13 for Euro2M diesel.
