In the heart of Ara Damansara, Volvo Car Malaysia dealer-partner Swedish Auto, has opened its latest Volvo 3S (Sales, Services and Spare Parts) center at the Sime Darby Motors City.
The four-storied center – measuring 50,742 square feet – is built to Volvo Car’s retail standard, better known as the Volvo Retail Experience (VRE). Like the brand’s cars, the 3S center was designed to deliver a contemporary luxury experience. It boasts a showroom at the ground floor, service center with a car detailing area on the second and third floors, and a wheel alignment and balancing area on the fourth floor. It is also the first in Malaysia to be fitted with a VR (Virtual Reality) Studio.
Nalin Jain, managing director of Volvo Car Malaysia, said: “Building off our accomplishments in 2018 and further growth in 2019, Volvo is set to have a great 2020. The partnership we have with premium dealers such as Sime Darby Swedish Auto is the key to expanding the Volvo brand’s Swedish-inspired ideals and heritage, especially within regard to its retail experience, new car sales and customer service improvement. There is amazing potential.”
In line with the Swedish Automaker’s goals for environmental sustainability, all customer parking bays will be equipped with an Electric Vehicle Charger to promote clean energy technologies. Similarly, since the brand’s support of the UN Environment Clean Seas campaign in 2018, Volvo has stopped using single-use plastics from the companies’ facilities locally on top of not having brochures in the showrooms. In place is the Digital Silent Salesman (DSS) platform that shares the information and price lists digitally.
An after-sales team of eight personnel will manage the eight repair and service bays, with two designated as reception at the counter bays.

Operation hours are from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm from Mondays to Fridays, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on Saturdays and 10.00 am to 6.00 pm on Sundays and public holidays. The Service Center opens from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 8.30 am to 12.45 pm on Saturdays.
