Get Ready For Lexus’ new NX 300 & RX 350 L

Lexus Malaysia has recently previewed the seven-seater RX 350 L, a variant that replaces the current RX 350 Luxury. The RX 350 L will be part of the 2018 RX range that consists of the RX 300, RX 350 F Sport and RX 450h Hybrid. The preview was also joined by the new facelifted NX 300 that replaces the NX 200t.

RX 350 L

In terms of design, the RX 350 L is not a longer wheelbase RX as is commonly known with vehicle models bearing the ‘L’, but just an additional 110 mm in length to accommodate the full-sized seats at the third row. Access to the third row is easy with a touch of a lever to slide and fold the second row seats.

Powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, it produces 289 hp at 6,300 rpm with 358 Nm of torque between 4,600 to 4,700 rpm and is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The redesignation of the NX 200t is one that applies to the brand’s local range of 200t models including the IS, GS, NX and RX to reflect the high performance of the 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged engine.

The new NX 300 now consists of four variants, an Urban, Premium, F Sport and Hybrid. As with the new facelift, the exterior changes include a new grille and bumper, 3-beam LED headlamps while the cabin now has a redesigned air-conditioning control panel with toggle switches, 8-inch Lexus Display Audio, redesigned Drive Mode Select Switch, and 30 per cent larger touchpad control.
