Carmakers are in full force for June as new model launches bring more variety to local offerings.

 

BMW Malaysia launches all-new X5 xDrive45e M Sport

The launch of the fourth-generation BMW X5 xDrive45e plug-in hybrid replaces the xDrive40i petrol variant. Powering the X5 xDrive45e is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder petrol engine paired to an electric motor for a total output of 394 hp and 600 Nm of torque going through the eight-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive system. Highlight features include BMW’s Personal CoPilot driving assistance systems, rear-seat entertainment monitors and reversing assistant for maneuvering out of tight parking spots. The BMW X5 xDrive45e M Sport is priced at RM440,745 on-the-road without insurance and the sales and service tax.

 

Hyundai offers special service package for owners

The company has announced a promotional campaign from now until 30 July 2020 and is offering discounts for genuine parts and labor charges. There is also a free gift for all lubricant service works, or for more than RM300 spent on any repair work. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launches all-new AMG A 35, 45 S, and CLA 45 S

The brand has launched two more AMGs in the A-Class range that join the AMG A 35 sedan. The Mercedes-AMG A 35 and 45 S now available are the Edition 1 versions which add on the AMG Aerodynamic package on top of the standard A 35 and 45 S models. Together with the CLA 45 S coupe, these cars are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that outputs 306 hp in the 35 models and 421 hp in the 45’s. The Mercedes-AMG A 35 4Matic Edition 1, A 45 S 4Matic+ Edition 1 and CLA 45 S 4Matic+ are priced at RM379,888, RM459,888 and RM448,888 respectively on-the-road without insurance. 

 

UMW Toyota Motor introduces fifth-generation RAV4

The full-fledged four-door SUV from Toyota returns to the local scene in two variants – a RAV4 2.5-liter and 2.0-liter engine options. The all-new RAV4 is built on Toyota’s latest TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) that enhances the vehicle’s agility, stability and visibility. Features include Toyota’s Safety Sense driver assistance systems, wireless charger and a vehicle telematics system, among others. The Toyota RAV4 2.5-liter and 2.0-liter variants are priced at RM215,665 and RM196,436 respectively on-the-road without insurance.

 

Volvo Car Malaysia launches Selekt pre-owned program

The program is catered to customers who are looking for a pre-owned Volvo that is quality assured. All pre-owned Volvos in the Selekt range are guaranteed to be under five years old, have less than 100,000km in mileage and will go through a 125-point inspection as well as software upgrades to the latest technology. The cars will also come with a minimum of 12 months warranty, complimentary 1-year maintenance service package and 12 months of roadside assistance.
