Latest Audi A3 sedan and A5 Sportback now available

The latest facelifted A3 sedan in a 1.4 TFSI variant is now available through Audi Malaysia. Power is 150 hp with 250 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 3,500 rpm mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Updates are the exterior front grille, LED head and tail lamps, rear bumper, while the interior now has the 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit instrument panel and 7-inch MMI Navigation plus infotainment unit.


As for the A5 Sportback, the all-new second generation is now here. The 2.0 TFSI Quattro variant has a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine developing 252 hp and 370 Nm of torque from 1,600 to 4,500 rpm paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission. The Audi virtual cockpit is the same size as the A3 but the infotainment unit is a larger 8.3-inch freestanding unit. The A3 sedan and A5 Sportback is priced at RM 239,750 and RM 339,900 respectively on-the-road without insurance.


BMW adds 520i Luxury and 530e M Sport variants

On top of the current 530e Sport and 530i M Sport variants, BMW has added a new 520i Luxury and 530e M Sport to the line-up. The 520i Luxury is styled similarly to the 530e Sport, however comes with the Chrome Line exterior treatment. Power comes from a 2.0-litre Twinpower Turbo engine producing 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque from 1,350 to 4,250 rpm and is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. Interior wise, the trim is in high gloss black with Pearl Chrome highlights. Technology includes ConnectedDrive, Navigation Professional system, 12-speaker system and 11-colour ambient lighting system, Parking Assistant and Cruise Control.


As for the 530e M Sport, the variant does kit the exterior with the M aerodynamics package with the Shadow Line treatment. This variant now comes with the adaptive LED headlights with Selective Beam on the exterior. Rims are 19-inch M double-spoke units in black and inside has M Sport calipers in blue. Powertrain is identical to the 530e with a 252 hp total output with 420 Nm of torque. Cabin is decked with Dakota leather and comes with a Aluminium Rhombicle trim. The 520i Luxury and 530e M Sport is priced at RM 328,800 and RM 338,800 respectively.


Bridgestone Hazard Warranty Programme in Malaysia

Bridgestone Malaysia has launched the tyre warranty programme that offers free tyre replacement for Bridgestone tyres that have been damaged due to road hazards and is subject to certain terms and conditions. Applicable to all Bridgestone passenger car tyres, MPV, SUV, 4×4 tyres that are 17-inch and above distributed by the company and purchased from participating Bridgestone dealers in Peninsular Malaysia. All-Terrain and Mud-Terrain tyre categories are not eligible for this programme. For customer convenience, registration of tyres purchased will be done online at warranty.bridgestonetyre.com.my and must be done within 14 days of the invoice date and the Hazard Warranty Programme warranty is valid for 6 months from the date of invoice.


Citroen C3 Aircross SUV officially launched!

Available in a single variant, the new C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder PureTech turbocharged engine outputting 110 hp and 205 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm and mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Uniquely styled, the exterior and interior of the Aircross has been designed with comfort in mind, with an impressive seating flexibility, numerous storage compartments and an impressive standard boot volume of 410-litres up to 520-litres with folded seats. Technology includes a 7-inch infotainment unit that’s Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Mirrorlink, Wifi, Bluetooth and USB compatible. Safety features include 6 Airbags, ESP, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, and has been awarded 5-stars for Euro’s NCAP safety rating. The C3 Aircross is priced at RM 115,888 on-the-road without insurance and comes with 5 years or 120,000 km warranty.


Ferrari F8 Tributo now in Malaysia!

Naza Italia has launched the F8 Tributo, Ferrari’s 488 GTB replacement in Malaysia. The F8 Tributo is the most powerful V8 ever in the brand’s history and is powered by a 3.9-litre unit producing 710 hp and 770 Nm of torque at 3,250 rpm. Century sprint is a mere 2.9-seconds with a top speed of 340 km/h top speed. The car is very much improved aerodynamically, and technologically over its predecessor. The Ferrari F8 Tributo is priced from RM 1,068,000 which excludes duties and options.


Ford Ranger Raya promo 2019

In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya festivities, those looking to get a Ford Ranger can now do so with monthly repayments as low as RM 463 per month with savings up to RM 11,000. There’s also low interest rate from 0% per annum. The promo runs from 1st May to 30 June 2019 in which 30 customers will stand a chance to win electrical goods worth up to RM 2,000 each, ranging from Smart TVs, fridges, washers, tablets and more. The Ranger comes with a 3-year manufacture warranty or up to 100,000 km whichever comes first.


New Kia 3S centre opens in Kota Bharu

Kia Kota Bharu has opened to cater to the East Coast, with a 3,500 square foot 3S centre – displaying up to five cars in the showroom, two service hoist bays able to service 100 cars monthly. Dealer Raza Motors invested close to RM 1 million into the outlet, and has plans to transform the outlet further into a dedicated Body and Paint facility in 3 years’ time for the convenience of Kelantan-based customers. Kia Kota Bharu is located on Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra.


Mini adds Countryman Pure and Wired package to line-up

Alongside the current Countryman Sports variant, Mini Malaysia has added the Countryman Pure variant, which is also in the Cooper S version. Power is from a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine developing 189 hp and 280 Nm of torque paired to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Standard equipment on the exterior include LED headlights with cornering lights, 18-inch Pin Spoke wheels in black, while the cabin comes with the Hazy Grey trim with Carbon Black Leather upholstery. Infotainment system is a 6.5-inch touchscreen unit.


As for the Countryman E, there is an additional option to a Wired Package that adds on 19-inch rims, Mini Yours Illuminated interior and Yours steering wheel. The touchscreen will be a larger 8.8-inch system, 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and Heads-up display. The Countryman range also now comes standard with the Mini Connected that builds-in 4G connectivity with services including Intelligent Emergency Call, Mini Online, Concierge service and more. The Wired Package is priced at RM 18,000 on top of the Countryman E’s RM 250,888 price, while the Countryman Pure is at RM 228,888 on-the-road without insurance.


Mitsubishi Raya promo 2019

Cash rebates for the Outlander 2.0 or 2.4-litre and ASX compact SUV 4WD or 2WD come with cash rebates up to RM 4,000. Proton X70 convoy to China completes journey

Late February, nine Proton X70’s organized by Borneo Automobile Leisure and supported by Proton drove from Malaysia to Hangzhou in China for a trip of a lifetime. The drive covered over 13,000 km in over four countries and took over 33 days. Proton arranged technical assistance at dealer locations and service centres along the route during the drive. For Proton the drive represents more than just a representative journey for the brand’s first SUV. In terms of reliability, the drive that went across a variety of environments proved to be faultless, with no breakdowns reported or repairs other than the scheduled servicing during the trip.


Renault introduces Captur Plus variant

TC Euro Cars has introduced an improved Renault Capture with Euro 6 compliant engine for reduced emissions, stop-start engine function and a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity and navigation. The TCe 120 1.2-litre engine delivers 118 hp and 205 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm and mated to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. On top of that, there’s a special edition Captur+ that comes with two tone bumpers, powered tailgate, and a driving video recorder. On the inside, maroon combination leather seats and matching door trim certainly injects some style. The Captur is priced at RM 107,980 and the Captur+ is at RM 113,300 on the road without insurance.


Tan Chong International opens assembly plant in Thailand

The company has unveiled the first Subaru assembly plant at Bangkok’s Ladkrabang Industrial Estate. The Tan Chong Subaru Automotive Thailand Limited (TCSAT) plant is the first plant outside of Japan to fully produce Subaru cars in Asia. It occupies more than 100,000 m² and is aimed at delivering more than 6,000 Subaru Foresters in its first operating year to meet demand for Subaru vehicles in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia by Motor Image Group.
