Mercedes-Benz Malaysia together with authorised dealer Hap Seng Star (HSS) has officially launched the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre by Hap Seng Star Kinrara. The centre located just a stone throw’s away from the Mercedes-Benz Hap Seng Star Autohaus at Bandar Kinrara in Puchong is a 46,210 sq ft build-up and is the largest standalone Certified Pre-Owned centre in Malaysia.
The centre is able to display over 100 cars, and is a one stop solution for sales and financing options from the brand’s financial services. Inside, the facility is equipped with a lifestyle café, children’s playground and Mercedes-Benz lifestyle products which are also available for purchase.
At the launch, the brand also announced Mercedes-Benz Certified, a new name to the previous Proven Exclusivity brand, which is in line with the global transition for the three-point star. The Certified fleet of Pre-Owned cars undergoes strict inspection which is conducted by their trained technicians.
The Certified Pre-Owned cars are first inspected with an internal and external check on appearance and assurance on genuine mileage and history verification. Further inspection is done on the engine compartment that includes oil and fluid checks and engine components.
To ensure there are no structural damages, the trained technicians will also conduct chassis, body structure and undercarriage checks. Additionally, the electrical and electronic systems of the car will be thoroughly examined. The inspection is finalised by a road test to ensure the car is in spotless condition. Only after all these parts are checked off, the vehicle will then be Certified Pre-Owned.
All models are guaranteed with a mileage of less than 125,000 km and is not older than six years. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also guarantees that all certified vehicles hold a genuine service and maintenance record from their authorised dealers in case repair is required.
Furthermore, all vehicles come with a 12-month warranty extension with unlimited mileage over the remaining manufacturer warranty of four years.
Last year, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia delivered over 5,000 used Mercedes-Benz cars out of which, half were certified pre-owned.
