Lexus Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the all-new seventh generation ES. Available in the form of the ES 250 in Luxury and Premium variants, the latest generation raises its emotional appeal with a dynamic exterior design that flows distinctively from its sharp front end to the sleek coupe-like rear.
While the sharp lines and low roofline may suggest a more compact car, the all-new Lexus ES 250 is more spacious and refined than its predecessor both in and out. Thanks to its wider and longer chassis, allowing for class-leading rear leg room, powered reclining rear seats in the top model and superior advanced safety features to be packed into this sophisticated and elegant saloon.
As for power, the 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine develops 204 hp and 243 Nm of torque from 4,000 to 5,000 rpm mated to an eight speed Direct Shift automatic with drive going to the front wheels.
The ES 250 Premium leads the way as the higher specified of the two available. Trim and equipment includes a 10-way electric front seat, electric reclining rear seats, 3-zone climate control, heads-up display, 12.3-inch Electro Multi-vision Display in the centre console and a panoramic view monitor among a list of features.
What isn’t compromised is safety. Both variants will come with Lexus Safety System + that includes driver aids such as Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Pre-Collision System (PCS) and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with Stop and Go Function. As for lighting on the Luxury version, the 3 Bi-Beam LED headlights will have the added feature of Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) that channels the appropriate amount of light to darker areas of the road without dazzling drivers in on-coming vehicles.
Price for the ES 250 starts from RM 299,888 and will be available in seven exterior colours and two interior colours. Ownership includes a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty with comprehensive after-sales support.
