Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) has unveiled the Limited Edition Ford Ranger Splash in conjunction with the upcoming Lazada 11.11 Shopping Festival.
The Limited Edition Ranger Splash will be the first pick-up in the country to be sold via the eCommerce platform. There will only be 19 units for sale in celebration of this year and will be on Lazada on 11 November 2019. The Limited Edition Ranger Splash is priced at RM 138,888 and can be pre-ordered through Lazada’s Chup Dulu function. Interested buyers who want to view the Ranger Splash are welcome at the brand’s Ford Petaling Jaya 2 showroom, where it is on display.
There is only a 1% booking fee of RM 1,389 to reserve a unit from 28 October to 10 November. The Chup Dulu function requires shoppers to pay a non-refundable 10% deposit (RM 139) on the booking fee via the Lazada app. The balance of the booking fee of RM 1,250 needs to be check-out and paid on 11 November 2019 for customers to secure the booking.
Buyers will be contacted by a Ford representative on the purchase. To sweeten things up, the first 11 buyers who complete the booking process during Chup Dulu will also receive a RM 500 Petronas Gift Card upon successful delivery of their vehicle.
The Ford Ranger Splash comes in all black and is fitted with a matte black front kangaroo bar, special front grille, side mirror cover, rear bumper, sports bars, alloy wheels and fender flares.
For extra convenience and safety, the Ranger Splash also features a built-in toll reader, a 360-degree Around View Monitor Camera, Easy Lift Tailgate, LED DRLs and HID headlights.
‘Ranger Splash’ decals with fluorescent treatments on each side complete with the truck’s sporty and rugged looks and differentiation as a limited edition.
Inside, the infotainment system is an 8-inch touchscreen unit Sync 3 and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Underneath is the new generation 2.0-litre Single-Turbo diesel engine that outputs 178 hp and 420 Nm of torque and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Enthusiasts who know the Ranger and its history know that the Ranger Splash isn’t new to the Malaysian market. During the late 1990s when the Ranger was first introduced, Ford took steps to focus on its safety and comfort features. They introduced the Splash edition back then in yellow, and now in black as a trendy and sporty lifestyle vehicle.
Ownership includes a three-year warranty or up to 100,000 km whichever comes first and five years free maintenance of up to 100,000 km whichever comes first.
