How to Trade In Your Car & Enjoy Up to RM1,500 Rebate
You can trade in your car at CARSOME and get the rebate in two ways. Here are the detailed steps for both of the trade-in methods available.
1. Sell Your Car First Then Buy a CARSOME Certified Car
Step 1: Book a free inspection appointment on our website and fill in the details of the car that you want to sell.
Step 2: Attend the Inspection appointment with original documents and items, refer HERE on the listing.
Step 3: Accept offer to sell to us directly.
Step 4: Transfer of Ownership, Vehicle handover, and Payment.
All the paperwork for ownership transfer will be handled by us on the agreed date of the vehicle handover. The remaining loan settlement with the bank and final payment will be made directly to the owner’s bank account via online transfer.
Step 5: Choose your car from our website/app.
Step 6: Make a free Test Drive appointment, or Place a Booking to secure your selected car.
Step 7: Inform our CARSOME Consultant that you are a trade-in customer and present your Bill of Purchase (BOP) to confirm your trade-in. We’ll reduce the price of your chosen car based on the value of the car you’re trading in so you can enjoy a lower purchase price.
Step 8: Submit your documents for loan submission and approval. Once approved, sign for acceptance.
Step 9: Transfer of Ownership, vehicle handover, and down payment. We’ll then apply the RM1000/RM1,500 rebate to your purchase during this stage.

Step 6: Book a free inspection appointment on our website and fill in the details of the car that you want to sell or speak to a CARSOME Consultant to assist with the appointment booking.
Step 7: Attend the Inspection appointment with the original documents and items, refer HERE on the listing. Please provide your Vehicle Delivery Order (VDO) to the Inspection Inspector for verification purposes.
Step 8: Accept offer to sell to us directly.
Step 9: Transfer of Ownership, Vehicle handover, and Payment.

Your Car Trade-in FAQs Answered
Considering upgrading your vehicle but would like to know more about our trade-in process. Here are the answers to some of your burning questions.
1. How do I get my trade-in discount code?
There is no discount code provided. After successfully selling your car to us, please inform your CARSOME Consultant that you are a trade-in customer. Once verified, we’ll apply the rebate directly to your payment based on the car buying price.
2. Is there an expiry date for the redemption?
Yes, the trade in rebate is valid for two months (60 days) from the date you trade in your car.
3. How do I know which rebate value I’m entitled to?
You are entitled to RM1,000 off when you buy a car priced below RM50,000 and you can get RM1,500 off when you buy a car priced above RM50,000.
4. What other/special types of cars do we buy?
Currently, we only buy cars registered in Malaysia (including Sabah and Sarawak), but this excludes cars registered in Labuan and Langkawi. We do not accept cars registered outside of Malaysia.
Cars with engines over 3,000cc:
At the moment, we only accept the makes and models below:
- Ford: Ranger, Trader
- Honda: Accord, Elysion, LaGreat
- Isuzu: Citation, D-Max
- Mazda: BT-50, CX-9, MPV
- Mitsubishi: Pajero, Storm, Triton
- Nissan: Cefiro, Elgrand, Infiniti, Murano, Skyline, Urvan
- Toyota: Alphard, Estima, Harrier, Hiace, Hilux, Land Cruiser
We also accept performance cars such as Mercedes Benz (AMG, Brabus series), BMW (M series), Audi (S, RS series), Volkswagen (R series), & Porsche.
However, for performance cars, please take note that we require the following:
- A valid warranty (manufacturer warranty or extended warranty with a minimum of 6 months validity)
- Insurance; and
- Puspakom B5 report (transfer of ownership inspection process at Puspakom)
These cars can only be sold to a CARSOME Inspection Center in West Malaysia (within Klang Valley, and selected inspection centers outside of the Klang Valley). We do not accept performance cars that are damaged by major accidents or floods, or those with a tampered chassis/engine number.
5. Can I combine my trade-in rebate with other CARSOME ongoing promo campaigns?
