Maserati is celebrating 10 years of its presence in Malaysia with Naza Italia, the sole importer and distributor of the brand locally. From the introduction of the GranTurismo Sports and Quattroporte Sport GTS since its opening, to the Ghibli and Levante of today, Naza Italia has introduced at least three each year of upgrades and face-lifts of the various models.
As part of the decade celebration, Naza Italia-Maserati has unveiled the limited edition Levante Vulcano, where only 10 units out of 150 for the European and Asian region will be available for the Malaysian market.
The Vulcano will only be available in the Levante S model version which is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with an output of 430 hp and 580 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 4,750 rpm. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with power going through an all-wheel drive system. The Vulcano will go from naught to 100 km/h in 5.2-seconds.
What makes the Vulcano stand out from the standard Levante can be seen from the exterior. The GranSport exterior is sportier in bumper styles and is covered in an exclusive matte “Grigio Lava” shade and completed by the Nerissimo pack details that wraps the front grille and logos in black chrome, window surrounds in glossy black, rear light clusters in a dark look, body-coloured door handles and burnished tailpipes. Furthermore, the Vulcano stands on matte finished 21-inch Helios wheels alongside Brembo red brake calipers.
Exterior equipment includes front and rear parking sensors with a 360-camera system, full-LED Matrix adaptive headlights, soft-close doors, Advanced Driving Assistance Systems of Forward Collision Warning with autonomous braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Highway Assist System, Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist.
Getting into the Levante Vulcano will showcase its sporty elegance. The Pieno Fiore red leather seats are heated and ventilated with electric and memory function and is complete with the embroidered Trident logo on the headrests, high gloss carbon fibre across gearshift paddles and inserts, chromed aluminium badge on the central tunnel with the Trident and a Vulcano logo with the numbered “One of 150”. To top it off, the 17-speaker Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system is sure to make any drive a lively one.
The Levante Vulcano is priced from RM 838,800 on the road without road tax and insurance and comes with a 3-year warranty unlimited mileage with 3-year or 100,000 km free maintenance program.
