The 2019 Audi A6 Sedan Is A Technofest In A Suit

As the 2018 Geneva Motor Show looms ahead, the all-new Audi A6 will officially make its first public appearance. The eighth-generation Audi A6 is expected to set a new benchmark for business sedans and will look to redefine the limits in the business class sedan in the automotive industry. One key word here for Audi in this new executive sedan, is technology.

Primarily, the technological aspects of the new A6 gives it a sharp boost, as it has dynamic all-wheel steering with a mild-hybrid engine, all digital MMI touch response system with Audi connect, a wider array of driver assistance systems, these which embody the future of business mobility. The 2019 Audi A6 is expressed with Audi’s brand new design language with taut surfaces, sharp edges and striking lines.

The exterior has stood out with crisp proportions that combines a longer hood, longer wheelbase and short overhangs for a dynamic silhouette. The 2019 Audi A6 holds dimensions of 7 millimetres longer than its predecessor. The direct width has been increased by 12 millimetres to 1,886 millimetres while the vehicle height’s at 1,457 millimetres is 2 mm higher than the outgoing model. The mixed-construction of steel and aluminium in the body helps to maximise the body to ensure top quality feel and sporty handling.

Set to be available from mid-2018 in Germany, Audi offers the new Audi A6 with two choices of engines – a diesel and a gasoline unit. The new Audi A6 is also paired with a seven-speed S tronic transmission and Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive. Moreover, the 3.0 TFSI turbocharged V6 engine has 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque, making sure that the century sprint can be achieved in 5.1-seconds with a limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Similar to the A7, the Audi A6 will utilize a mild-hybrid system (MHEV) putting the car’s 48-volt battery to work when driving between 55 km/h and 160 km/h. On the other hand, the 3.0 TDI engine delivers 286 hp and 620 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission.

The new Audi A6 is noticeably sportier than the outgoing model thanks to the innovative suspension system. The dynamic all-wheel steering is a mainstay in this agility and manoeuvrability which combines direct, sporty steering response with unshakable stability. The Audi A6 offers more driver and passenger comfort since the steering movements seem much softer the rear seats. The Audi A6 has improved ride and noise comfort when compared to the outgoing model too.

Roughly 50 years ago, the first Audi 100 was unveiled in Ingolstadt, Germany. The Audi 100 was a hugely successful model and the flagship of the brand. Half a century today, the Audi 100 has evolved into the Audi A6 (since midway through the fourth-generation), and has turned into one of the most successful Audi vehicle models today.
