See your favourite celebs at Asia GT Festival’s Celebrity Bazaar!

Those looking forward to the first Asia GT Festival in Malaysia will be thrilled to know that apart from the race highlights, visitors will be able to look forward to the inaugural Celebrity Bazaar during the race weekend.

Happening from 15th to 17th March 2019, the Celebrity Bazaar at AGTF will feature a series of pop-up stores and marketplace by local celebrities such as Joe Flizzow, Elly Raja Lawak, Linora Low, KTown Clan and 47 others. Yes, that number isn’t a typo.

Of course visitors to the event at Sepang International Circuit during the weekend can expect fun family-friendly activities such as rock climbing, flying fox, food truck culinary experiences and more.

On the grid for the race will see a line-up of 35 GT cars which will go round SIC. On the tarmac will be the largest line-up single series GT category in Southeast Asia to date. Brands on the track will be AMG, Audi, Ferrari, Bentley, McLaren, Porsche, BMW and more. Malaysian supporters can also root for local drivers Jazeman Jaafar and Dominic Ang who will be among the driver line-up.

A hot lap showcase of the Nio EP9 electric supercar will be at the weekend as well. The state-of-the-art electric vehicle is most known for achieving a record lap of 6:45.900 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and will be the official pace car for the event.

Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is expected to flag off the Prime Minister’s Saga Cup race on the morning of 17th March as spectators and visitors go down memory lane with the Proton Saga.

The Asia GT Festival marks the first international expansion of the China GT Championship as part of its racing calendar. The event is co-organised by Country Heights’ Mines Car City Centre and Beijing’s Goldenport Enterprises and is a precursor to a five-year agreement for the race to be part of Sepang International Circuit’s motorsport racing calendar.
