Kuala Lumpur, 30 September 2019 – Carsome, Southeast Asia’s leading online used car platform has named Chet Sin (“Chet”) as its latest Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”) to spearhead new product development and will lead the engineering, product and infrastructure team to drive regional expansion. His focus will be to innovate and push boundaries in the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data infrastructure to provide best-in-class digital experience, as the Company seeks to expand into a one-stop solution for all automotive needs.
Chet joins Carsome as CTO after serving as the Head of IT and Digital Commerce at FWD Insurance, based in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for overseeing all iFWD Insurance’s technology operations to meet the company’s transformation needs. Chet brings approximately 10 years of system development and product execution expertise to Carsome. Prior to iFWD Insurance, Chet was Head of Commercial Systems in AirAsia BIG where he spearheaded the system development for the successful integration of online travel retailing into the loyalty business.
