Kia has updated their range of vehicles, BMW Shorties returns for its 12th year and is open for public voting, Hap Seng Star opens its latest Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Setia Alam, and Naza Quest ends its distributorship for Chevrolet cars after eight years.

 

BMW Malaysia introduces Moments privilege programme

BMW Moments are a range of services and privileges that every BMW owner is entitled to. This includes providing flexible and innovative financing options, reliable premium care and assistance, exclusive lifestyle privileges delivered through BMW Support, BMW Care and BMW Privileges. Support includes roadside assistance and accident hotline, Care is part of the warranty programmes for vehicle and tyres while Privileges encompasses exclusive invitations to BMW events, dining, shopping and lifestyle offerings. BMW customers can download the BMW Group Loyalty+ app via the Apple App or Google Play stores.

 

BMW Shorties 2018 finalists now open for public viewing and voting

Malaysia’s longest-running short film competition is in its 12th year running. For 2018 the theme of ‘Drive’ is aimed to motivate with passion and ambition. Finalists this year will not only be eyeing for the Grand Prize, but will also be voted by the public for the People’s Choice Award. Supporting Award nominees include Best Director, Cinematography, Screenplay and another five awards. The public can take part and vote for their favourite short film via the Shorties website here until 7th December 2018.

 

Naza Quest ends distribution of Chevrolet in Malaysia

It will cease to distribute new Chevrolet vehicles but will continue to provide warranty and aftersales service for existing Chevrolet customers until the appointment of a new Chevrolet distributor under an agreement between Naza Quest and General Motors. Majority of Chevrolet dealerships will remain open during the transition period. Hyundai Tucson facelift now available

After several teases last month, the facelift Tucson has been introduced in two variants, a 2.0-litre Elegance and 1.6-litre Turbo. The front design is now sharper at the corners, with redesigned bumper, LED head (1.6-turbo) and tail lights as well as chrome finishings.

 

The interior is a fresh new look, with a redesign to the upper dashboard that’s layered and has new vent designs and a new 7-inch freestanding infotainment display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Turbo also gets an electronic parking brake, 4.2-inch multi-info display and electric driver’s seat amongst others.

 

Power differences between the two are 153 hp with 192 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm for the Elegance and 175 hp and 265 Nm from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm for the Turbo. The new Tucson is priced at RM 123,888 and RM 143,888 on-the-road without insurance.

 

Kia’s range of Optima, Sorento, Grand Carnival and Rio gets updates

Apart from the Rio, the Kia models mentioned above have been facelifted. The Optima GT features new ambient lighting around the dashboard and car doors. The infotainment system is now paired with a 7-inch touch screen with Around View Monitor (AVM) camera. The new Optima GT is priced at RM 169,888.

 

For the Sorento, changes include a new steering wheel design, trim updates and an eight-speed automatic transmission on the 2.2-litre diesel. Prices for the Sorento start from RM 169,888. For the Grand Carnival, the updates include electronic parking brake, Blind Spot Detection System and wireless smartphone charger among more. The eight-seater is priced from RM 155,888. Lastly the Kia Rio gets the much updated six-speed automatic, cruise control, Blind Spot Detection for the same RM 78,888.

 

Kia Malaysia “Year End Surprise” with savings up to RM 15,000

The brand is giving a special savings of RM 15,000 off for the Kia Cerato with a free 1-year insurance. Kia Optima also is going for RM 10,000 off, while the Picanto will come with 2 years of free maintenance service added. The Rio is also included with RM 5,000 in savings, and this is the latest updated version with the six-speed automatic! The campaign best offer has to be the 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage and also up to 5-years free maintenance service!

 

Hap Seng Star opens 11th Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Setia Alam

The new Autohaus is to cater to a growing customer base in the vicinity of Setia Alam, Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor, Tanjung Karang and Sekinchan. The new 3S centre is managed by 39 certified personnel for both sales and after-sales. The eight work bays within the centre is capable of serving up to 500 vehicles monthly. Mini Recharge roadshow now ongoing until end December 2018

Fans of the brand looking to get upclose with the latest models can visit the Recharge Roadshow. This includes an experience with the Countryman Sports and Countryman Plug-in Hybrid. Perodua has made over half-a-million EEV’s

The brand has announced that it has achieved a milestone with over half-a-million Energy Efficient Vehicles. Perodua’s first EEV was the Axia in 2014, Bezza in 2016 and the latest 2017 Myvi. The qualification of EEV status includes a standard fuel economy figure, where all the cars mentioned have rated fuel efficiencies of over 20 km per litre. The company’s Global Manufacturing facility also incorporates energy-efficient technologies to reduce production emissions and set new standards in quality, cost management and delivery.

 

Renault Test Drive Challenge has 85 prizes including five iPhone XS’

Volvo Car Malaysia opens latest showroom in Melaka

The Swedish brand has launched their latest 3S showroom on Jalan Tun Sri Lanang in Melaka together with its dealer Seong Hoe Motors. The new 3S dealership will feature a six-bay service centre that can accommodate the brand’s latest Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles such as the XC90, XC60 and S90 T8 Twin Engine.
