It’s an interesting month of March. Earlier this month, Lexus has launched their latest LS, BMW with the first-ever X2 as well as their new loyalty app. Kia has a new Sportage variant, Honda a Mugen HR-V and Toyota with quite a number of year model 2018 updates across their range. New Loyalty+ Mobile App for BMW Card & Club Members

BMW Group Malaysia has introduced a loyalty mobile application for the White, Black Card and Excellence Club members to access privileges on the go. The new loyalty application enables an easier and seamless integration of e-payment, financing services and access to luxury and one of a kind events and experiences. On top of that financing information can also be managed easily – accessing contract overview and e-payment transactions. The app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

 

Honda HR-V Now with Mugen Limited Edition

Honda Malaysia has introduced the Mugen limited edition body kit for the HR-V. The body kit consists of nine items, including the front, rear and side under spoiler, tailgate spoiler, sporty decal, Mugen gearbox emblem, Mugen exterior emblem as well as front grille and carpet mats. Limited to only 1,020 units in the V variant, the HR-V Mugen is priced from RM 118,800 on the road without insurance.

 

Kia Sportage 2.0 EX Variant Introduced

The Sportage 2.0 EX variant has a fresh design with a host of features including keyless entry, 7-inch infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as front and rear parking sensors, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Safety includes Six-Airbags, ABS, ESC, VSC, Hill Assist, and the passive safety of a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Available in five exterior colours, the new Sportage 2.0 EX is priced at RM 129,888 on the road without insurance. The 2.0 EX replaces the previous KX and GT Petrol variant offered and will be on sale alongside the Sportage GT Diesel AWD.

 

Toyota Updates & Upgrades Various Models for Year 2018

UMW Toyota has updated both luxury MPVs for the 2018 model year. The Alphard now features a new 3.5-litre V6 engine with 296 hp and 361 Nm of torque from 4,600 to 4,700 rpm mated to a new eight-speed automatic transmission. In terms of looks, both MPVs also now feature a redesigned front with new LED headlamp designs.

 

Inside, the Alphard and Vellfire now comes with front seat ventilation, Qi wireless charger, together with a navigation system, 7-inch touchscreen, 10.2-inch rear seat entertainment. Safety wise, there is a blind spot monitor paired with rear cross traffic alert on top of the standard host of safety features. The Vellfire is now priced at RM 350,800; Alphard at RM 429,800 and Alphard Executive Lounge at RM 540,800.

Those looking at the new Hilux will be thrilled to know the “L-Edition” (Luxury) variants – a 2.8-litre automatic 4×4 and a 2.4-litre automatic 4×4. The L-Edition Hilux front design look makes the Hilux stand out with a redesigned bumper. Inside, additional accessories like a digital video recorder, cruise control, 4.2-inch multi info display and 6.1-inch infotainment system is featured on the higher end variant.

 

As for the Sienta, only a single variant is now available, a 1.5 V that now includes a 6.9-inch touchscreen infotainment with Bluetooth, SD Card, HDMI and reverse camera unit.
