Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), has announced the all-new Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2.2L in Malaysia. The new Ranger WildTrak 2.2L is the second WildTrak model in the line-up after the 3.2L WildTrak. The new WildTrak 2.2L has a turbocharged 2.2-litre Duratorq four-cylinder TDCI diesel engine. It churns out a maximum power of 158 hp at 3,000 rpm and peak torque of 385 Nm from 1,600 to 2,600 rpm, and is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Similar to the XLT, safety kit includes ABS, EBD, ESC, brake assist, hill-descent control, hill-launch assist and six airbags (dual front, side and curtain) among others. Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) system also provides precise steering at higher speeds while offering more control. On the inside, the 2.2L variant boasts a full array of smart features which includes a SYNC 3 connectivity with Apple Carplay and Android Auto support.
The new Ranger WildTrak 2.2L comes with an early bird offer of two years or 40,000 km (whichever comes first) free service and maintenance. It is also the same offer as the WildTrak 3.2L.
The Ford Ranger WildTrak 2.2L is priced at RM 127,888 for Peninsula Malaysia, RM 133,888 for Sabah and Sarawak. Colours for the new WildTrak includes Cool White, Pride Orange and Shadow Black.
To celebrate the launch of the Ranger WildTrak 2.2L and SDAC’S tenth-year anniversary, customers who register to purchase any Ranger model from now to 30th June 2018 will stand to win a grand prize of a Ford Fiesta 1.5L Sport.
