The Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer Is Spacious Like It Suggests

Naza Euro Motors, the official distributor for Citroën brand in Malaysia has launched the seven-seater Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer.

The successor to the Grand C4 Picasso, the Grand C4 SpaceTourer offers a range of practical features paired with intuitive safety and performance technologies in a premium and spacious seven-seater MPV.

 

Underneath, the Grand C4 SpaceTourer is powered by a 1.6-litre Turbo High Pressure engine producing 165 hp and 240 Nm of torque from 1,400 rpm. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the MPV can achieve a 5.8-litre per 100 km in fuel consumption.

 

The exterior design of the SpaceTourer provides a futuristic first look into the size with its sweeping windscreen, low-sloping hood along with the signature Chevron emblem that connects from the headlights. The slim headlights consist of directional Bi-Xenon’s with manual height adjustment, and the DRLs add more style to the front end.

 

At the rear, the 3D effect rear lamp units matched with the fog lamp encased into the bumper provide a sophisticated character. The side profile’s smooth lines, sculpted shoulder and 17-inch Boa alloy rims give the SpaceTourer a bold look.

 

Inside the SpaceTourer opens up to a trim the brand calls Hype Grey ambience. The commanding view at the front boasts a 12-inch HD colour panoramic central display that’s the largest in the MPV segment, further complemented by a 7-inch touchscreen below it.

 

Connectivity options to the unit is the compatibility with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, as well as Mirrorlink and USB. Driving convenience extends with an electric parking brake and electric power steering, while the 12V socket in the central storage and fold down aircraft style tables for the second row passengers come with LED lights for reading.

 

In terms of storage, Citroën has made the SpaceTourer one of the leading, with interesting under-floor compartments, removable central storage box and compartments around the vehicle. Boot space of 632 litres expand to an incredible 2,181-litres with folded second and third row seats. The tailgate is electric with height memory and also works conveniently hands free with a foot wave.

 

To round up active and passive safety, the SpaceTourer comes with Active Safety Brake that works at speeds of 30 km/h, Speed Limit Recognition to provide the latest speed limit readings and Driver Attention Alert to detect drowsy driving and assist the driver to stay alert. Passive safety includes 6 Airbags, ABS with EBD and Emergency Braking Assistance, ESC with traction control, Hill Start Assist, Interior Child Monitoring Mirror, Driver attention alert and 3 Isofix mounts in the second row seats.

 

The Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer is priced at RM 149,888 on the road without insurance and comes with a limited 3-year free service as well as a 5-year or 120,000 km warranty, 24-hour roadside assistance. Colours include Ruby Red, Lazuli Blue, Onyx Black and Polar White.
