Bosch is reminding drivers to Service your Cars before you Balik Kampung

Road accidents happen more frequently during festive season travelling. Numbers for 2018 totalled 548,598 and out of those, 6,284 people lost their lives. These figures are disheartening, and considering the fact that some could have been avoided by frequent checks makes it all the more important.

Following up from Bosch Automotive Aftermarket’s recent ‘Drive for Life’ campaign, the brand is reminding all drivers to service their cars or perform a simple 6-point car inspection check for a safer balik kampung journey.

These are the things you could do before your next drive home.

  • Check the car service schedule sticker for the service due date.

  • Check the car’s tyre pressure, tyre thread condition and don’t forget to inflate the spare tyre.

  • Check engine oil levels.

  • Check the battery condition.

  • Check the wipers.

  • Check all lights – head, rear, brake and signal lights.

As part of the campaign, Bosch AA is also collaborating with Petron to give drivers free vehicle inspection services on battery condition, engine oil, and fluid levels, tyre thread and brake pad thickness on the last two weekends in May at selected Petron stations in Klang Valley. The stations are:

  • Petron Sg. Besi Toll Southbound – 18 May

  • Petron MRR2 Safari – 19 May

  • Petron MRR2 Selayang – 25 May

  • Petron Kesas Eastbound – 26 May

Bosch AA Malaysia is also having a “Drive for Life” contest to win Bosch merchandise, for more information, visit Bosch AA’s Facebook page here.

'Drive for Life' will be a 3-year long campaign to Educate, Engage and Empower individuals on the importance of car maintenance.
