Perodua Myvi Variants
After its facelift in 2021, the Perodua Myvi range has been adjusted to include five variants. They are the Perodua Myvi 1.3 G without PSDA (Perodua Smart Drive Assist), 1.3 G (with PSDA), 1.5 X, 1.5 H, and the range-topping 1.5 AV. The Myvi 1.5 X, 1.5 H, and 1.5 AV variants all have PSDA as standard.

The price of a new Perodua Myvi starts at RM45,700 for the base Myvi 1.3 G (without PSDA), RM47,700 for the 1.3 G (with PSDA), RM49,900 for the 1.5 X, RM53,900 for the 1.5 H, and RM58,800 for the 1.5 AV.
There are six colors available on the Myvi. Available on all variants are Electric Blue, Granite Grey, Ivory White, and Glittering Silver. Lava Red is available on all variants except the 1.5 AV, while Cranberry Red is exclusive to the 1.5 AV. This is a new color introduced with the facelift of the Perodua Myvi in 2021.
The facelift that the Perodua Myvi received in 2021 introduced numerous subtle changes to the interior with an emphasis on improving user-friendliness and ergonomics. The Myvi sports an LCD combination meter on the 1.3 G, 1.5 X, and 1.5 H variants, while the 1.5 AV has an improved TFT meter. The steering wheel on the 1.3 G and 1.5 X variants are wrapped in urethane while it is wrapped in leather on the 1.5 H and 1.5 AV.
The steering wheel also has audio and call control on the 1.5 X, 1.5 H, and 1.5 AV, with additional voice recognition controls on the 1.5 H and 1.5 AV. Exclusive to the steering wheel on the 1.5 AV are control switches for the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Control (LKC), and multi-info display. The Myvi has fabric seats on the 1.3 G, 1.5X, and 1.5 H, while the 1.5 AV gets leather seats with red finishing. The 1.5 X, 1.5 H, and 1.5 AV also get titanium silver door trim while the 1.5 H and 1.5 AV get additional chrome inner door handles. While the 1.3 G, 1.5 X, and 1.5 H variants have a silver-painted center cluster, the 1.5 AV’s center cluster is finished in red. Other features standard in the Myvi are seat back and side pockets, shopping hooks, cup and bottle holders, as well as a map, dome, and luggage lamps. Additional on the 1.5 H and 1.5 AV is a built-in toll reader.
The Perodua Myvi 2022 model received several exterior updates, especially on the front and rear bumpers which are now more angular with sharper lines. The 1.3 G and 1.5 X variants have a metallic silver grille on the front while the 1.5 H and 1.5 AV have a glossy black grille with vertical LED daytime running lights (DRLs), front and side skirtings, a spoiler, and dual-tone bumpers.
Other features include auto-off and follow-me-home headlights, speed-linked intermittent front wipers, acoustic windshield glass, as well as electric side mirrors. The 1.5 X, 1.5 H, and 1.5 AV have headlights with an additional leaving home function and retractable and auto-folding function on the side mirrors.
The Perodua Myvi has a fairly spacious cabin and comfortably fits five adults inside. It measures 3,895 mm long, 1,735 mm wide, and 1,515 mm tall. It has a boot space of 277-liters, which is expandable with the 60:40 split-folding rear seats. The Myvi also has multiple seat configurations similar to Honda’s Ultra seats, which allow users to carry items of various shapes.
The infotainment system on the Perodua Myvi differs between the variants. The 1.3 G variant has a basic digital audio system with a USB port. The 1.5 X adds an additional Bluetooth connectivity function while the 1.5 H and 1.5 AV have a 6.9-inch multimedia system with navigation, Smart Link for Android smartphones, USB, Bluetooth, and HDMI connectivity. All variants have four speakers measuring 10 cm each.
The Perodua Myvi 1.3G variants are powered by a 1.3L DOHC 4-cylinder engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (Dual VVT-i). This engine produces a max power of 95 PS at 6,000 rpm and a max torque of 121 Nm at 4,000 rpm. On the other hand, the 1.5 X, H, and AV variants are powered by a 1.5L DOHC 4-cylinder engine with Dual VVT-i which produces a max power of 103 PS at 6,000 rpm and a max torque of 137 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
With the new update, all variants of the Myvi now have a dual-mode continuously variable transmission (D-CVT). With this new transmission, the Myvi is able to improve its fuel consumption to 4.7 L/100 km (with Eco Idle System). The Perodua Myvi with the 1.3L engine is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds, while the variants with the 1.5L engine can do it in 10.2 seconds.
The Perodua Myvi, including the base 1.3 G (without PSDA variant) is well equipped with the modern safety features buyers expect today. Standard safety features on all variants are Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill-start Assist (HSA), ISOFIX system with top tether, auto locking/unlocking doors, and rear corner parking sensors. The range-topping 1.5 AV variant also gets an Integrated Driving Video Recorder (DVR). There are four airbags on the 1.3 G and 1.5 X, while the 1.5 H and 1.5 AV variants get six airbags.
Available on higher-spec variants is the Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA) safety suite. This system combines Perodua’s Advanced Safety Assist (A.S.A.), Driving Assist, Headlamp Assist, and Parking Assist in one intelligent safety package. Safety features available on all variants with PSDA are Pre-Collision Warning (PCW), Pre-Collision Braking (PCB), Pedal Misoperation Control (PMC), Front Departure Alert (FDA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), and Auto High Beam (AHB). Additional features only available on the 1.5 AV variant are Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Control (LKC), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), a reverse camera, and front parking sensors.
The Perodua Myvi is Malaysia’s best-selling car for a reason. It’s affordable, spacious, versatile, and is the only car with advanced safety features in this price segment. Although it doesn’t have the most refined interior and driving dynamics, it offers a whole lot for its price which makes it a great car for a wide range of users.
