Mercedes-Benz C-Class Overview

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a C-segment luxury sedan that exudes class and style. With its elegant design and high levels of refinement, it’s easy to see why it is among the top luxury cars in Malaysia. The W206 fifth-generation C-Class was launched in 2022 and brings various improvements to the line. The C-Class goes against other luxury sedans including the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.

Variants

There are two variants of the C-Class in Malaysia with both being fully imported completely built-up (CBU) units. They are the Mercedes-Benz C 200 Avantgarde and the Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG.

Pricing

The price of a new Mercedes-Benz C-Class in Malaysia starts from RM288,334 for the C 200 Avantgarde variant and RM330,681 for the C300 AMG variant.

Colors Available

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is available in eight colors. They are Polar White, Cavansite Blue, Graphite Grey, High-tech Silver, Obsidian Black, Spectral Blue, Selenite Grey, and Manufaktur Hyacinth Red Metallic.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Basic Features

Interior

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has a luxurious, modern interior with numerous futuristic design elements including aircraft engine-inspired air-conditioning vents. Besides a full-leather upholstery, it also has a silver-grey diamond-pattern trim throughout the dashboard and cabin. There is also a 12.3-inch instrument panel, powered front seats, Thermatic automatic climate control, wireless charging in the front, ambient lighting, illuminated side sill panels, and roll-up sunblinds at the rear.

Exterior

On the exterior, the C-Class has the signature Mercedes-Benz grille, high-performance LED headlights with adaptive high beam assist, and LED taillights. In terms of differences between the two variants, the C 200 Avantgarde variant has a vertical louver grille and 18-inch alloy wheels with run-flat tires, while the C 300 AMG variant gets a diamond grille with the three-pointed star pattern throughout the grille and 19-inch AMG wheels with standard tires.

Cabin Space

The W206 Mercedes-Benz C-Class measures 4,751 mm long, 1,820 mm wide, and 1,438 mm tall. Its boot has a capacity of 455 liters, which is expandable by folding down the rear seats.

Infotainment system

The C-Class has a portrait-oriented 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display with the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and even has an LTE communications module for the Mercedes me connect service and the MBUX Navigation Premium service.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Driving Performance

The W206 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has two engine options depending on the variant. The C 200 Avantgarde is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 204 PS of max power from 5,800 rpm to 6,100 rpm and 300 Nm of max torque from 1,800 rpm to 4,000 rpm. On the other hand, the C 300 AMG variant is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 258 PS of max power and 400 Nm of max torque from 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. Both engines are paired with a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has various standard and advanced safety features. Basic safety features include seven airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), and more. Its advanced safety features include Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic, Lane Tracking, Cruise Control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
