Volkswagen Arteon Basic Features

Interior

The interior of the Volkswagen Arteon R-Line is classy and practical with loads of equipment. It has LED front footwell illumination, front and rear reading lights, illuminated vanity mirrors, automatic coming/leaving home lighting, and 30-color ambient lighting. Practical features include 12V sockets in the front and rear, a front center armrest storage compartment with two USB C-ports, a rear center armrest with load-through hatch, a split-folding rear seats, and Climatronic air conditioning with 3-zone and rear air conditioning with rear controls. 

The driver can also enjoy a 14-way electric ErgoComfort “Nappa Carbon” leather sport seat with memory function, automatic dimming rear-view mirror, “Easy Open” and “Easy Close” tailgate switch, electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors with memory settings, and environment lighting, start and stop button with keyless entry, a 360-degree view camera with front and back parking sensors, as well as automatic headlights and wipers. The Arteon also has various R-Line styling details including black headliners, brushed stainless steel pedals, front sports seats with Nappa Carbon leather, leather-wrapped multi-function touch-sensitive sports steering wheel, and silver trim on the dash and front door panels.

Exterior

The Volkswagen Arteon R-Line also has R-Line styling features on the exterior including an R-Line design front bumper featuring unique signature gloss black front air intakes, a sporty rear bumper with chrome-effect faux exhaust tailpipe surrounds, gloss black rear tailgate spoiler, and side skirts. Additionally, it has full LED headlights including cornering function and poor weather lighting, LED 3D rear lights with sequential indicators, and LED daytime running lights. Lastly, it has 19-inch “Montevideo” wheels with a diamond-turned surface.

Cabin Space

The Volkswagen Arteon R-Line measures 4,862 mm long, 1,871 mm wide, and 1,450 mm wide. It also has a 563-liter boot which is expandable with foldable rear seats.

Infotainment system

The Volkswagen Arteon R-Line has a Discover Pro infotainment system which has a Digital Cockpit with multiple configuration profiles, a Driving Mode selector, Dynamic Chassis Control, as well as two USB type C ports, voice control, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity. Music is played on a Premium 700W Harman Kardon sound system with 12 high-performance speakers including a subwoofer.

The Volkswagen Arteon R-Line has a 2.0 L TSI turbocharged engine that produces a max power of 280 PS from 5,100 to 6,500 rpm and a max torque of 250 Nm from 1,700 to 5,600 rpm. It has a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system and a 7-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG). The Arteon is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. It consumes fuel at 7.4 L/100 km and has a 66-liter fuel tank.

The Volkswagen Arteon R-Line in Malaysia is well equipped with all the standard safety features as well as more advanced equipment. It has seven airbags, Anti-skid Regulator (ASR), Electronic Differential Lock (XDS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Control (HHC), an anti-theft alarm system with immobilizer with interior monitoring and towing protection, driver alert system, cruise control system with speed limiter, as well as a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) with pressure display.
