About You

This position will report to the Assistant Manager, Logistics Route Planning & Strategy, working closely with departments across the organization, such as supply chain and commercial. As the Senior Executive, Logistics Route Planning & Strategy, you are responsible for developing and implementing logistics routing strategies that optimize transportation efficiency and reduce costs. You analyze transportation data, collaborate with logistics teams, and develop routing plans that balance customer service requirements, transportation costs, and delivery schedules. You also manage transportation capacity and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for routing optimization and cost reduction
  • Develop and implement routing strategies that balance customer service requirements, transportation costs, and delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with transportation teams to develop and implement transportation capacity plans
  • Manage transportation capacity and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance routing efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and carriers
  • Communicate with customers and vendors regarding delivery schedules and changes
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transportation activities and costs
  • Monitor and report on transportation performance metrics, including on-time delivery, transportation costs, and transportation capacity utilization
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address transportation disruptions and emergencies
  • Provide guidance and support to transportation teams to ensure effective routing and transportation performance
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of logistics operations

Your Know-How

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in logistics or transportation operations, with at least 2 years of experience in route planning and strategy
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
  • Able to work 6 days per week, with shift rotation at night, weekends, and public holidays
  • Preferred qualification: Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization software. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
