About You

As our People Development Manager, you’d champion the development of our talents and enable our people to develop so they can thrive in their roles. Specifically, you will have the perfect balance between strategy and execution, creating the vision for People Development and being hands-on in architecting and implementing programmes and measuring organisational effectiveness of training initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the People & Culture team and business leaders to ensure the programmes are effective, meaningful and have an impact on individual development, leadership development and career progression. This is an amazing opportunity to build the function from the ground up, and you will focus on designing, implementing, and managing core learning programmes that will impact all stages of an employee lifecycle.

Your Day-To-Day

  • Facilitates the learning needs of on-going training programmes on a continuous basis, and develop and deliver content to the departmental heads and management for the training curriculums at all levels of business
  • Conducts the tracking and reporting of the progress for all on-going training programmes
  • Manages vendor relations and guarantees that training programmes’ deadlines are met within the planned budget
  • Ensures that there is consistency in the quality of training programmes, initiatives, and materials launched by the department
  • Drives innovative training programme development through the facilitation of online resources, training toolkits, and mentorship programmes
  • Actively builds the capabilities of business employees, placing focus on performance, business fundamentals, communication and leadership
  • Creates, designs, and continuously improves training content, for example, outlines and presentations, agendas, associated materials, and so forth.
  • Works closely with various departmental heads and management in the business in developing learning activities unique to their individual departments and that are aligned with individual department employee needs
  • Plays a major support role where the People Development Manager coaches leadership and management principles within the business.
  • Establishes metrics that measure the performance and success of ongoing training programmes while identifying points of improvement and develops solutions that improve the effectiveness of training programmes
  • Participates in leadership meetings, training events and seminars, conferences, and others , keeps the department’s practices up to date, hence ensuring constant sharpening of employee skills and performance in the business.
  • Carries out other similar duties as deemed fit for the proper execution of the role’s responsibilities or duties.

Your Know How

  • Degree in Business, HR, Psychology etc. An MBA will be highly desirable. Other Learning Development certifications are an added plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate Learning & Development (L&D) experience in high growth, dynamic environment
  • Extensive end-to-end L&D experience in instructional design, training facilitation, assessment facilitation and results delivery
  • Experience designing leadership development programmes and identifying strategies to address learning gaps
  • Proven knowledge of adult learning principles and expert level training and facilitation skills including eLearning tools
  • Both strategic and “roll up your sleeves”/hands-on leader who thrives on helping others meet their goals
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and be able to connect with all levels
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to hold the audience’s attention
  • Proactive, independent, team player, self-motivated and able to work under pressure and cross-functional environment
  • Results oriented mentality - demonstrate high initiative and provide leadership and execution in a fast-paced evolving environment
