A Closer Look At The Toyota C-HR! (Gallery)

Anyone interested in the Toyota C-HR (Coupe High-Rider) will be thrilled to know that the B-segment crossover is making its rounds for a public preview before UMW Toyota officially launches the vehicle.

The first stop as seen here, was taken at the Toyota in Section 19 Petaling Jaya. While the vehicle is an Australian specified model, the final list of features will not necessarily be included in the Malaysian variant.

What we know is that the Malaysian variant will be launched with a 1.8-litre Dual VVT-i engine with 137 hp mated to a CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission). There is an AWD variant for the C-HR, but we won’t know if Toyota will decide on that at this moment in time.

Follow us in this gallery as we take you through the features of the all-new C-HR!

It’s a good thing the C-HR has a reverse camera, as the small rear view and large C-pillars might be a challenge to park.

The rear door handles are placed quite high up and might be difficult for vertically challenged individuals, especially children to reach.

If you look closer at the overall styling of the C-HR, you’ll notice the angular diamond theme in shapes and patterns across the door trims, door sills, buttons, air vents and more.

Rear legroom is comfortable even for a 6-footer at the back, but with the coupe-styled rear doors, visibility will be a challenge for shorter individuals.

Steering wheel controls seen on the right side shows quick access to the Toyota’s Lane Departure and Active Cruise Control.

Here seen in the driver meter shows the access to the Lane Departure Alert, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitor and Parking Sensors that will come with Toyota’s Safety Sense Plus, if introduced for the local market.

Here the infotainment’s menu and going through the features is straight forward and smooth to use.

Puddle lights are projected from the C-HR’s side mirrors when unlocking the vehicle.

What do you think? The C-HR will be making its rounds to the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival at the Batu Kawan Stadium in Penang from the 12th to 13th August, Toyota Subang Jaya showroom from the 16th to 22nd August, Mid Valley Megamall from the 23rd to 27th August and its final stop will be at Sunway Pyramid from the 4th to 10th September.
