Named after the company\u2019s unparalleled heritage in motor sports, Pista is the Italian word for \u201ctrack\u201d, and that should give you an idea of what the Pista is about.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari 488 Pista sneak\/Ferrari 488 Pista_2.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari%20488%20Pista%20sneak\/Ferrari%20488%20Pista_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Pista will be the successor to Ferrari\u2019s V8-engined special series, one that follows on from the <i>360 Challenge Stradale<\/i>, <i>430 Scuderia<\/i> and <i>458 Speciale<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari 488 Pista sneak\/Ferrari 488 Pista_5.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari%20488%20Pista%20sneak\/Ferrari%20488%20Pista_5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Powering the 488 Pista is the company\u2019s most powerful V8 engine in its history, churning out 710 hp and 770 Nm of torque. This is tuned from the 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 from the 488 GTB\u2019s 660 hp and 759 Nm of torque. With increased figures, comes weight savings, and the Pista is 90 kg less than the GTB.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari 488 Pista sneak\/Ferrari 488 Pista_6.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari%20488%20Pista%20sneak\/Ferrari%20488%20Pista_6.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Century sprint will take a mere 2.8-seconds on to a top speed of 340 km\/h \u2013 0.2-seconds faster than its GTB sibling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari 488 Pista sneak\/Ferrari_488_Pista_Int_1.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Ferrari%20488%20Pista%20sneak\/Ferrari_488_Pista_Int_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>How did Ferrari achieve this? The Pista\u2019s underbody vortex generators have been redesigned, with the rear diffuser incorporating the same double kink as the 488 GTE to increase air extraction and more downforce compared to a traditional diffuser.
