The third generation Kia Picanto, is currently the only new non-national brand in the local A-segment hatchback line up. How is it? First impressions on the 2018 model highlights a few notable improvements in design, performance and versatility. The efficient engine is capable of producing 83 hp at 6,000 rpm and 122 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It all sets up for a smooth drive on highways or city traffic thanks to the practical 4-speed transmission. Only one variant of the Picanto will be available at launch.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2018 Kia Picanto\/IMG_7368a.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2018%20Kia%20Picanto\/IMG_7368a.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2018 Kia Picanto\/IMG_7280aa.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2018%20Kia%20Picanto\/IMG_7280aa.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 2018 Kia Picanto also has bi-functional halogen headlamps that projects high and low beams. Styling wise, LED indicators and daytime running lights complete the look both front and rear. Essentially, the horizontal design of the dashboard adds greater visual width to the interior, highlighting the spacious cabin dimensions it has. In terms of comfort, the seats are revamped to provide better seating for all occupants. Users can certainly gain from the in-built mobile features on their smartphones including navigation, music and messages. The static torsional stiffness of the car has been improved by 32 per cent. Safety wise, the new Picanto comes with six airbags, Isofix, rear seatbelt pretensioners and active safety systems of ABS, ESC, TRC and Brake Assist.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2018 Kia Picanto\/IMG_7333aa.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2018%20Kia%20Picanto\/IMG_7333aa.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t stop there though, Naza Kia Malaysia is also reintroducing the \u2018NOVUS\u2019 Kia accessory bundle for all new Kia vehicles, starting with the all-new Picanto. There will be five colour options &#8211; Pop Orange, Lime Light, Honey Bee, Clear White and Titanium Silver.
