However, you are strongly encouraged to follow distancing, mask-wearing, handwashing, and temperature-checking (DMHT) measures for five days.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are in the high-risk group, and are COVID-19 positive, you\u2019ll need to self-monitor for 10 days and take a rapid antigen testing (ATK) on day five and day 10.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re <\/span><b>still encouraged to wear masks in crowded areas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, though it\u2019s no longer mandated. However, the public is still urged to follow the DMHT measures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Travelers from countries\/territories that are entitled to visa exemption (like Malaysia), can now stay in Thailand for up to 45 days (increased from 30 days). Here\u2019s a list of the COVID-19 vaccines approved in Thailand. Here are all the documents you\u2019ll need to enter the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passport with six months remaining validity<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visas for travelers from countries that are not included in Thailand\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thaiembdc.org\/visa-exemption-and-visa-on-arrival\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Visa Exemption List<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Malaysia is on the list so you won\u2019t need a Visa when traveling to Thailand.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imi.gov.my\/index.php\/en\/main-services\/border-pass-cross-border\/border-pass-malaysia-thailand\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Border pass<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> if you reside in Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, or Hulu Perak District, and are crossing the land border into Thailand. If you have a border pass, you can enter Thailand without a passport but can only travel within Southern Thailand for three days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A valid Malaysian driver\u2019s license or an International Driving Permit if you plan to drive in Thailand. Also, if you bring your vehicle across the border, you need to declare your vehicle with the Customs authority upon entry and before leaving the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28278 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/GettyImages-919536120-1-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"Woman at Suvarnabhumi airport, Thailand\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1619\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thailand On-Arrival Requirements<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are very minimal travel restrictions in Thailand but do expect to undergo a mandatory entry screening when you arrive which includes a body temperature check. You\u2019ll also need to present the required documents mentioned above to the Immigration \/ Health Control Officer during the check.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re unvaccinated and don\u2019t have a negative COVID-19 test result with you, or if your negative test result is older than 72 hours, the Health Control Officer at the point of arrival may require you to undergo a COVID-19 test. Any expenses incurred as a result will be your responsibility so make sure you have a recent negative test result on hand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 15 July 2022, the Thai government stated that it\u2019ll collect a <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nst.com.my\/world\/region\/2022\/07\/813584\/all-foreigners-entering-thailand-pay-tourism-fee#:~:text=BANGKOK%3A%20All%20foreigners%20entering%20Thailand,for%20accidents%20and%20natural%20disasters.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">300-baht (roughly RM37) tourism fee<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from all foreigners entering Thailand via air in the near future, though it\u2019s yet to be confirmed when.
