This is on top of financial reporting, planning and analysis, and investor relations under her CFO role.<\/p>\n<p>Carsome Co-founder and Group CEO Eric Cheng expressed that Zhu has proven to be a visionary female leader in an industry predominated by males, having been part of the company since 2019. \u201cI am very inspired by Juliet\u2019s tenacity and drive in instilling best practices and elevating Carsome as the most trusted and preferred pre-owned car brand in the market. The leadership team and I are proud to continue working with Juliet in her new capacity towards our next goals and successes,\u201d Cheng added.<\/p>\n<p>Zhu is an experienced venture capitalist, equity analyst, and portfolio manager. She has over a decade of experience in growth strategy and capital planning, having worked in the investment industry across China, India, and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n<p>As Carsome\u2019s Group CFO, Zhu has strengthened the financial reporting function, established the investor relations and mergers and acquisitions functions, as well as secured funding across equity and debt for the growing needs of the company. During her tenure, she led Carsome\u2019s Series <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-announces-series-d-fundraising\">D<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-raises-us200-million-in-financing-round-brings-valuation-to-us1-3-billion\">D2<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-raises-us290-million-in-series-e-financing\">E<\/a> fundraising rounds, on top of strategic acquisitions such as the recently completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-completes-acquisition-of-icar-asia\">iCar Asia<\/a> transaction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to be given the opportunity to serve Carsome Group with a broader scope and more responsibilities. It has been a truly humbling journey at Carsome, working alongside people who are so passionate about our mission and have such bias for action to relentlessly innovate, challenge and execute. We are very excited to take the company to its next stage of growth,\u201d Zhu said.<\/p>\n<p>Zhu\u2019s appointment comes after Carsome\u2019s recent launch of Southeast Asia\u2019s largest car refurbishment facility, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-unveils-southeast-asias-largest-state-of-the-art-car-refurbishment-facility\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Carsome Certified Lab<\/span><\/a> in Malaysia.
