With the introduction of the Honda City Hatchback, which is currently exclusively sold in Thailand, Honda has once again disrupted the car industry with a new addition to its popular Honda City family.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The introduction of the Honda City Hatchback implies that Honda follows the footsteps of its rival Toyota, who brought out a hatchback version of the Toyota Vios, with Toyota Yaris.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This hatchback has also been rumored to be a replacement for the famous Honda Jazz in Malaysia. The Honda City Hatchback is set to make its appearance in Malaysia sometime this year but before that, here are the specifications of the Honda City in comparison to the Sedan and the Hatchback.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the dimensions, the Honda City Hatchback is relatively smaller which is expected as it is similar to other hatchbacks – it can pack as much as humanly possible into the smallest space available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the sedan might be the perfect car for families due to the spacious build as it can comfortably fit up to 5 adults comfortably.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the hatchback is better suited for working adults and first-time car owners, who need a simple, no-hassle car that is small enough to navigate through Malaysian roads. The front profile of both cars look similar as they share the same headlamp, grille, bumper, and bonnet design. The same characteristics continue down the sides as well, where a prominent line goes above both the car\u2019s door handles, connecting both the front and backlighting units.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Honda City Sedan and Honda City Hatchback mostly have the same features but one obvious difference that can be seen in these cars is the size of the alloy wheels.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There are huge advantages to having alloy wheels aside from it being very stylish. Large alloy wheels, as seen on the Honda City Sedan, fills in the wheel arches better and are more in proportion with the rest of the exterior body. They have more road contact, wider thread, and stiffer sidewalls, which directly contribute to better cornering and handling.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Interior Features<\/b><\/h3>\n

Just like the exterior, the interior features of the Honda City Hatchback are pretty similar to its Sedan sibling. The dashboard is fitted with an eight-inch touchscreen \u2018Advanced Touch\u2019 head unit and large air vents, while on the center stack, there are controls for the air-conditioning system, a power outlet, USB ports, and a mini storage unit. The center console holds two cup holders, a gear stick, a handbrake, and more storage areas including one under the armrest.<\/span><\/p>\n

One major difference between these cars is that the hatchback comes with Ultra Seats (allowing four-seat arrangements \u2013 utility, long, tall, and refresh mode) and offers more legroom than the former.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
