Locally, the Restricted Movement Order (RMO) has non-essential businesses working from home. During these difficult times, social distancing should be practiced everywhere, even when you need to head out for household provisions during RMO and after 15 April when the RMO is lifted. The <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/emergencies\/diseases\/novel-coronavirus-2019\/advice-for-public\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">World Health Organization<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (WHO) recommends that you stay at least three feet (1 meter) away from other people to reduce your chances of catching the virus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17446 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/wash-hands-rs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/wash-hands-rs.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/wash-hands-rs-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/wash-hands-rs-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Always remember to adhere to proper hygiene practices by:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Increasing frequent hand washing with soap and water.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regularly disinfecting frequently touched surfaces.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Increase ventilation by opening windows.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promote cough and sneeze etiquette with a tissue.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Malaysia through Infosihat, has published social distancing tips at home and at the workplace. As we all work together to combat this pandemic, Carsome plays its part by continuously reminding and encouraging its staff to practice these recommendations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17445 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/things-to-do-covid.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/things-to-do-covid.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/things-to-do-covid-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Social distancing at home<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Households with ill members should:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designate a room with a single caretaker for the ill person.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The door to the ill person\u2019s room must be kept closed at all times.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Masks must be worn by both the ill and other family members caring for them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take additional and protective measures for other members in the house over 65 or with an underlying illness.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17447 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/no-handshake.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/no-handshake.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/no-handshake-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/no-handshake-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Social distancing at work from 15th April onwards:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When it comes to practices at the workplace, MOH recommends:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A no handshake policy. Avoid physical greetings and opt for a wave, nod or bow.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promote cough and sneeze etiquette with a tissue.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have hand sanitizers at the office\u2019s entrances and other public areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schedule reminders for regular washing of hands or hand sanitization.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have virtual meetings instead of physical ones.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recommend ill workers to stay at home and seek immediate medical attention.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disinfect common areas regularly touched by staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consider opening windows.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Limit food handling and sharing of food at the workplace.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assess business travel risks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enhance hygiene and ailment screening among food handlers and close contacts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work from home whenever possible, and stagger staff if productivity from remote work can be compensated.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We wish all our customers to stay safe and healthy, p<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ractice good hygiene, mask up, wash your hands and sanitize regularly.
