UMW Toyota Motor will replace the fuel pump on particular units of Toyota and Lexus models manufactured from 2013 to 2019 and distributed by UMW.<\/p>\n<p>The recall involves around 12,000 units of Toyota\u2019s that include the Alphard, Camry, Corolla, Innova and Fortuner, and 1,500 units of Lexus\u2019 that include the GS300, GS350, IS300, LC500\/500H, LS460, LS500\/500H, LS600H, NX200T\/300H, RC350\/300H, RX350\/450H and the RX350\/450.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17111 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/NYIAS_2016_Lexus_RX_350_F_SPORT_016-e1427904524920.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/NYIAS_2016_Lexus_RX_350_F_SPORT_016-e1427904524920.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/NYIAS_2016_Lexus_RX_350_F_SPORT_016-e1427904524920-300x151.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/wp\/NYIAS_2016_Lexus_RX_350_F_SPORT_016-e1427904524920-768x387.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to Toyota, the affected vehicles\u2019 fuel pump may stop operating. The instrument panel might display warning lights and messages, and engine power hesitation may happen. The problem may result in the vehicle stalling and unable to start. The brand also says that it could increase the risk of a crash while driving at high speed.<\/p>\n<p>UMW Toyota will notify all affected vehicle owners on the recall and will replace the fuel pump unit at no charge.
