As with the performance, the GT Edition is the same with the current range \u2013 2.0-litre 4-cylinder boxer engine that outputs 154 hp and 196 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a Lineartronic CVT with power going to all-wheels in Subaru\u2019s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8269.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8306.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8267.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the outside, the XV GT Edition\u2019s visual upgrades includes front and rear bumper lip extensions, side skirts, a black roof spoiler and exclusive two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels with GT centre caps. Look closer at the wing mirrors, and you will notice cameras on them which ties in to the driving monitors. So on top of the rear view camera, GT Edition owners will also benefit from the dual side view monitor for either side of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8299.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8327-rs.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8333.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Inside, the seats are special leather upholstery with a mix of grey and orange stitching. Standard equipment similar to the XV is the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with navigation and the 6.3-inch dashboard mounted multi-function display. Driving features include Auto windshield wipers, Auto headlamps, Hill hold assist, Cruise control, Paddle shifters and Steering responsive headlights.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8335-rs.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8332.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As for the list of safety equipment, the XV GT Edition gets the same list including ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, 7-Airbags, Vehicle dynamics control, Isofix and of course that award winning First Prize for the Japan New Car Assessment Programme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Subaru%20XV%20GT%20Edition%20launch\/IMG_8322.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yet all this isn\u2019t the most interesting part of the GT Edition. While you might think that the GT is just another Subaru XV with a sporty aerodynamic kit, you\u2019d be quite mistaken. In fact, the GT Edition was designed by Masahiko Kobayashi, former Chief Designer for Subaru and was responsible for the exterior design of more than 12 Subaru production models, including the Levorg, WRX, WRX STi and even the first gen XV.
