In terms of styling, the new design takes on a sharper language. This can be seen in the new triangular headlights, tail lights and rear fog lamps as well as a new sporty radiator grille. Other upgrades include a two-tone rear bumper and a repositioned plate number which is now moved lower to the bumper. Coupled with a stylish 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels and chrome moulding on its belt line, the Elantra accentuates its superior appearance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Hyundai%20Elantra%20facelift%20launch\/Hyundai_Elantra_FL_Int_Dashboard.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As for the interior, the cabin has been refreshed with a new sporty chequered cluster meter design, a newly designed multifunctional steering wheel with control buttons, all-black plush leather seats and a soft touch material dashboard.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Hyundai%20Elantra%20facelift%20launch\/Hyundai_Elantra_FL_Ext_FrontQuarter1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Underneath the bonnet lies the same powertrain and transmission unit from the pre-facelift model. Powering it is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that delivers 150 hp and 192 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and is paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Hyundai%20Elantra%20facelift%20launch\/elantra-front.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What is most important is that the new Elantra is structurally stronger than before. Built with High-Strength Steel with the use of 53% of Advanced High-Strength Steel, the Elantra has a stiffer torsional rigidity and 25.3 percent greater bending strength, which bring improvements in vehicle ride and handling, quietness, durability and driving performance. It also has an increased structural adhesive application 40 times at higher stress points on the chassis to reinforce welding areas. A component often found in aerospace applications, these structural adhesives also contribute to improved NVH and vehicle dynamics due to extra stiffness in the chassis. Hyundai engineers focused on these enhancements to develop a more rigid body structure, with the aim of achieving top safety ratings by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Hyundai%20Elantra%20facelift%20launch\/elantra-side.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As for added features for the driver, the new Elantra introduces a Smart Drive Mode intelligent system that identifies the driving style and automatically selects a driving mode such as Normal or Sport that is best suited for the situation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Hyundai%20Elantra%20facelift%20launch\/Hyundai_Elantra_FL_Int_Cockpit.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Hyundai%20Elantra%20facelift%20launch\/Hyundai_Elantra_FL_Int_Gear.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The list of interior features and safety now adds on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Hands-free Smart Trunk, Six Airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Traction Control, ABS, rear-view camera, Parking Guidance System, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Hill-start Assist Control.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Hyundai%20Elantra%20facelift%20launch\/Official%20Launch%20of%20the%20Restyled%20Elantra.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new Elantra will be available in Polar White, Phantom Black, Fluid Metal, Teal Blue and Fiery Red, along with limited edition Stargazing Blue and Sparkling Metal available for a limited period in conjunction with the launch.
