This follows the pick-up\u2019s preview at last year\u2019s KL International Motor Show.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/New-Triton--Engineered-Beyond-Tough.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new Triton is certainly a visual highlight. The biggest change has to be the front, which now features the brand\u2019s Dynamic Shield design found on all of its current SUVs such as the Outlander and Eclipse Cross. The styling here truly sets the Triton apart from other pick-ups thanks to the slimmer headlamps, and overall wider look that the signature design creates.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/IMG_5539_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/IMG_5451_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The side view showcases the Triton\u2019s \u201cJ-line\u201d between the rear cab and cargo space which maximises interior space and seating comfort while the rear sports the new distinctive LED rear combination lamps. Inside the cabin the updates are minimal, with the central console and gear lever focused as a continuing piece as opposed to an upper and lower dashboard like before. Additions include an air circulator on the roof with rear air vents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/IMG_5491_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Powering the Triton is Mitsubishi\u2019s 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel engine with 179 hp and 430 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. The engine is the same on all five variants and is mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission with 4X4 on all as well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/IMG_5482_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/IMG_5480_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the driving department, the top variant Adventure X has a new Super Select 4WD-II that delivers optimum traction and handling on specific driving conditions. 2H (2WD High Range) is best used for normal road conditions and for fuel efficiency, 4H (Full time 4WD) for rough and slippery roads, 4HLc (4WD High Range) with a locked centre differential for rugged terrain and low-grip surfaces and 4LLc (4WD Low Range) with locked centre diff best for steep hill, rocky and sandy terrains. There\u2019s also an Off-Road Mode button that integrally controls engine power, transmission and braking to regulate the amount of wheel slip with modes for Gravel, Sand, Mud and Rock.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/IMG_5509_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/2019%20Mitsubishi%20Triton%20launch\/IMG_5513_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mitsubishi Malaysia has loaded the top of the range Adventure X with Advanced Safety.
