A total of 6,432 units of the Proton Perdana are affected.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Proton%20perdana%20airbag%20recall\/Perdana_rear-lamp-rs.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All action taken is in accordance with the latest Defect Information Report (DIR) issued by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) of America that requires the replacement of non-desiccated passenger inflators.<\/p>\n<p>Proton has highlighted that the safety of their owners are of the utmost importance and will notify all affected owners of the recall. All Perdana owners are advised to call their designated service centres to book an appointment for the replacement of the passenger airbag in their cars.
