Proton&#8217;s X70, the brand\u2019s first SUV has successfully achieved a 5-star rating for occupant protection.<\/p>\n<p>The new X70 joins Proton\u2019s Iriz, Persona, Preve and Suprima S as 5-star rated cars. While it is similar, the X70 obtains this score despite Asean NCAP\u2019s latest 2017 \u2013 2020 testing protocol that also takes into account safety assist technologies, which is 25 per cent of the overall score.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Proton%20X70%20Asean%20NCAP\/x70_crash_test_front_ancap-rs.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The X70 SUV is Proton\u2019s first model to be equipped with a number of safety assist features including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS). With all these equipped, the X70 was able to obtain a high score in the safety assist technology segment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/carsomemy.s3.amazonaws.com\/News\/Proton%20X70%20Asean%20NCAP\/Rating-Plate---Proton-X70-rs.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 2012, Proton introduced Hot Press Forming (HPF) body structures which enhances structure integrity of the strength of its car by three times. The HPF cell is supplemented with six airbags on all variants, Isofix child seat mounting points as well as seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters.
