Before we bid farewell to 2019, here are the round ups of year-end promotions, campaigns and dealership openings to usher in 2020!

 

Celebrate the year-end with promos from Ford!

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia has announced its sales and service promotion for the end of the year. From now until 31 January 2020, customers who purchase a Ford Ranger Wildtrak or Ranger Raptor will enjoy free maintenance for two years or up to 40,000 km (whichever comes first), a free Christmas giveaway worth RM 2,000 and an exclusive Ford Performance golf umbrella. The Ranger Wildtrak also comes with a cash rebate of RM 3,000 during this promotional period.

 

As for service-related promos, Ford is offering owners a free 27-point vehicle inspection by Ford-certified technicians with-up to 20 per cent discount on selected parts and engine oils for selected models, as well as additional savings of 10 per cent on labour fees for lubricant, brake and timing belt packages for selected models.

 

New Hyundai 3S centre in Penang

Hyundai has recently expanded its sales and service network in Penang with the opening of a new 3S centre in Butterworth. The centre will serve customers alongside another Hyundai centre located in Perai. Operated by CS Euro, the 3S centre will house a showroom which has up to six service bays and a spare parts centre. Services offered include Hyundai’s Quick Service, a lounge with free Wifi access and shuttle service for customers.

The showroom opens from 9am to 6pm Mondays to Sundays, while its service centre opens from 9am to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays. For more information, customers can call +604-3318 001 to book a test drive or +604-3317 001 to book for a service.

 

Mitsubishi introduces limited edition Triton Knight variant

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has introduced the Triton Knight. Based on the top-spec Triton Adventure X variant, the Triton Knight is limited to just 120 units and comes with extra accessories on top of the exclusive Knight body stickers only available with this limited variant. On the outside, the front bumper garnish is grey coated, has a hood protector for a more aggressive stance and a sports bar at the rear.

As for the interior additions, the Knight gets an All-Round Monitor for a bird’s-eye-view around the vehicle, Driving Video Recorder, 7-inch Touchscreen Audio with Apple Carplay and Android Ready.

 

On the safety front, the Knight comes with advanced safety features like Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System, Auto High Beam and 7 SRS Airbags. The Triton Knight is priced at RM 137,900 on-the-road without insurance and comes with 5 years or 200,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).

 

You can now use Boost as a payment option at Petron

Petron Malaysia has expanded its e-wallet services at its petrol stations to include Boost. To roll out the system, Petron partnered with GHL Systems Bhd, a leading payments company in Malaysia and ASEAN. The collaboration also enables payments via all leading domestic Malaysian e-wallets such as Grabpay, Maybank QRPay, Touch n Go, MBSB, Mcash and Goodkredit as well as cross border e-wallets (Alipay and Unionpay) which are presently accepted in Malaysia. In conjunction with this collaboration with Boost, Petron is also rewarding its customers through the Spend & Win Sure Ong campaign. Customers only need to spend a minimum of RM50 with Boost and get RM5 cashback limited to two cashbacks per user.

 

Shell campaign rewards customers with RM 20,000 weekly cash prize

Shell Malaysia has announced its campaign titled ‘Nak Ekstra RM20,000’. The campaign which started on 1st December 2019 and runs until 9th February 2020, will give Shell customers the opportunity to cash in an extra RM 20,000 each week with only a minimum RM 40 spend in a single receipt at any Shell station nationwide. On top of the RM 20,000 grand prize, Shell is also giving away 20 x RM 1,000 consolation prizes weekly.

 

Tian Siang Premium and Gurney Paragon Mall introduce new BMW iCharging facilities in Penang

BMW’s dealer representative for Ipoh and Butterworth, Tian Siang Premium Auto, has unveiled two additional BMW iCharging Facilities at the premises of Gurney Paragon Mall, thus expanding the growing network of charging facilities in Malaysia. With these two new chargers in place, there are over 20 charging facilities under the BMW Group Malaysia, including that in Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur; The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat and WEIL Hotel in Ipoh; Holiday Inn Melaka and The Equatorial Melaka; as well as CityONE Megamall in Kuching.

 

Pay for street parking with Touch n Go eWallet

If your municipality happens to be under KL City Hall (DBKL), MP Subang Jaya (MPSJ), Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj), Majlis Daerah Kuala Langat (MDKL) and MP Kota Bharu (MPKB), street parking payment is now available with Touch n Go eWallet. With the app, Malaysians will now be able to pay for their street parking as a payment option, with more areas available in the coming months.
